I am use to the sound on the echos, this sound isn't very good. I really don't need the video type because I don't use it that much. I returned it.

Beautiful, but slow and glitchy. Unfortunately, we had not realized to does not offer continuous video feed for the camera we purchase to use as a baby monitor, which is our fault but still disappointing. For the standard Alexa/Echo functions it is very unreliable and we never know when it is going to do what we ask, give an error message or not respond at all. We have tow standard Echos and have had no problem with them.

This device allows us to see the pictures that we have uploaded to Amazon. Also works great for video calls

We have Echo Shows in almost every room of our home, except where we have a 5, 10, or 15. Love Echo shows for providing a music speaker, keep shopping lists, handle reminders and alarms, enable video calling, provide trivia answers, function as a sleep sound generator, you name it - Alexa can do it. The 8 is the lowest level show I would buy anymore too, as its price is so close to the 5, and you get a lot better quality speaker and larger screen than 5. It goes on sale during all Prime Days, and Black Friday, so wait for those to buy if you can - half price then!

Streaming TV to it is Flakey at best. Works for 10 minutes, then shuts down for no reason. Idea is good, but execution is lacking

It does not seem to like my English accent......Its a tad frustrating but its a nice clock and has pretty scenery on the background images.

I bought it for main room soft music and videos but it’s not catching the commands as Google taking.

its a cool device with nice features. Wish it sat up straight and had a night light when viewing in the home from or taking calls.

I bought this item to work with my Ring Camera. So far, it seems to be working. I am still getting use to this Echo Show 8.

good to have, very functional. Camera is not very functional as it aims up and shows the ceiling.

It works well most of the time. However it does have glitches. Like the date is wrong.

Didn't do what we wanted. Won't display recipes when you ask. Also not the easiest to set up

Disappointing you cannot easily use this at night as a clock /alarm, evidently only the Echo Show 5 can do that well.

very small for phone call but perfect size to use for alarm clock and to have an extra echo in the house.

Asked the store employee if it would just stay on showing the camera, he said well I don't see why not. So just so you know, that translates into i don't know and not sure I care. FYI, it not only will not stay on the camera all the time, after you set it up it says it does not work with cameras. you can get it to work sometimes and others not so much.

Only got these for giving as gift. Screen is too small for me, but others seem to like it.

Bought it to talk with elderly mother she could get the hang of so i had to return it.

Bought for Grandpa but was hard to do a video call. We couldnt hear each other well
