She loves it because she can jam out to music when I tell her to clean her room, she can set her own alarm clock, and check the weather when she’s getting ready for school. Plus instead of screaming for me she can just call me!

When you ask Alexa to play as song it displays it in vivid colors. I'm so glad I upgraded. It was truly a best buy.

The core features you're already enjoying — setting alarms, playing sleep sounds, checking the weather, controlling smart home devices, making voice calls, setting timers and reminders, and using Alexa skills — are all available without Prime.
Here's what you get without any subscription:
Alexa voice assistant — Ask questions, set alarms and timers, get weather and news, control smart home devices, and make calls — all free.
Free music options — You can access ad-supported music through Amazon Music's free tier, or connect services like Spotify (free tier), iHeartRadio, or TuneIn for sleep sounds and music.
Alexa+ on the web and app — All customers can access a limited Alexa+ experience for free on Alexa.com and in the Alexa app.

We are in love with it and the fact that we can play music through it, it’s super easy to use, we’ve been using it a lot!

I use this for my bedroom clock and alarm. If you talk soft to it, it will respond in a soft voice. Took a few minutes to get the programming down, but I love it.
