The 2024 Amazon Echo Spot isn't trying to be a tablet for your nightstand; it’s a surgical strike on the "smart alarm clock" niche. Amazon basically took the Echo Pop, sliced it at an angle, and slapped a sharp, customizable display on the top half. Here’s the breakdown of why this thing exists and whether you should actually buy it. The Big Picture: What is it? Amazon killed the original Spot years ago because it was a bit of a privacy nightmare (nobody wants a camera pointing at their bed). The 2024 version fixes this by removing the camera entirely. It’s designed to be a dedicated bedside companion that handles Alarms, Music, and Smart Home controls without the "rotating billboard" feel of the larger Echo Shows

I really love it great alarm and information it tells u is so accurate, and love how u ca control it from so far away, i used it due to my wife was sleeping and she was going to be late for work for still sleeping home i put a music on while i was at work and it reached from so far, it woke her up and she got all mad but definitely worth the price.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it because she can jam out to music when I tell her to clean her room, she can set her own alarm clock, and check the weather when she’s getting ready for school. Plus instead of screaming for me she can just call me!

I’ve been using Amazon Alexa for a while now and it’s honestly one of those things you don’t realize how useful it is until you have it. Setup was quick and straightforward, and it connected to my Wi-Fi and other devices without any issues. I use Alexa daily for things like setting alarms and reminders, checking the weather, playing music, controlling smart lights, and asking random questions hands-free. Voice recognition is solid, and it responds quickly most of the time. The sound quality is better than I expected for its size, especially for casual music or podcasts.

These are fantastic, we got 3 of them and love them all. Great customizable screen, with great brightness for us. Our absolute favorite Alexa Device. Sound is so much better than the dot clocks we have. Just a terrific piece of gear and with Alexa capabilities is just fantastic!!

I recently purchased the new Echo Spot (2024 version) and I’m very pleased with it. Right out of the box, it impresses with its modern, compact, and elegant design—perfect for a nightstand, desk, or any small space in the home.

My little Alexa clock is awesome. It shows the weather you can see it on there. It’s perfect. You can change it. I just love it. There’s nothing about it. I don’t love my daughter. Got at me for for Mother’s Day and it’s perfect.

Making a very good alarm clock. can let you have some insight on what the day is looking like. Also I liked the price for this. I also have tried Alexa and siri and I think I like the Alexa better.

My kids told me to get this to help me wake up and best believe it works great as well as plays my music when cleaning and i also bring it to shower to listen to much its really loud

Easy to set up and use. We purchased for safety reasons in case we should fall and need help. Alexa can call for you when you are unable to get to your phone for help.

Omg so nice not to hear ky husbands 45 year old alarm clock buzzing. He likes how it gives him the weather and temp when he trlla Alexa to turn off.

I ordered this to put in my bathroom. I had an Echo Dot 5th gen in there, it was a gift. It was too big for the space (meaning the footprint on my counter). The Dot sound is so good. I can shower with the morning radio talk show playing and can hear and understand it. With the Echo Spot, its footprint is great. The sound is not. I've watched videos online on how to maximize the sound, but it doesn't help. I have to tell her to turn up several to hear the talking, then tell her down 1 or 2 when the music plays. I also have an Echo Show 5 in my kitchen. I like that the Spot doesn't play ads, shows the clock, shows the temp, and shows a scroll of the radio station when it's playing. I suppose if I had no other devices and had not heard other devices, I'd be pleased with this one; but the sound quality just isn't there for me. I will keep it, as it fits the spot (location), but I would not recommend it if family or friends asked.

Got this to use while out of town on a trip for a few months. Set up was easy. Just had to change female voice back to original as new voice sounds like a teenager. Added a radio station I like to listen to when I wake up in the morning. Sound is good for what I need. Set up to show time and temperature and date. Great having this as it is smaller and I didn’t want to take bigger echo from home with me due to space limitations in travel bags. This Spot should travel back home much easier.
