No easy way to pair it to a stereo. I was hoping to get a chained bluetooth and smart TV enabled whole house speaker set and this device is not capable at this stage.

DO NOT BUY. AMAZON DOESN'T WORK WITH IT.

Amazon system regularly refuses to see the piece of garbage. When finally able to get it working with Amazon Fire stick/TV there's this God awful feedback. Absolute garbage. Taking back to Best Buy under my extended warranty. Amazon suggested buying from them as the "solution" as in can't buy from Best Buy or they refuse responsibility for their products.

Yesterday when I picked it up I went through the usual set up and no problem. Added to an Alexa music group and started playing throughout the house. Today, it won’t recognize devices in the group and none of the echos individually will play more than 5 songs from any service, Amazon, Apple, etc. The only thing that changed was the addition of this device. After going through countless websites, all with pretty much the same useless advice (which I tried) I have given up. So, if you love frustration then go ahead and buy one of these. I’m back to listening on my AirPods Pro.

poor voice recognition and sound quality

Farther away echo devices hear your voice first. Sometimes it does really weird things. Worst of the echo ecosystem.
