Unfortunately, this Amazon product did not my expectations. While it synced easily to both Echo Studio speakers, it provides negligible bass to audio playback.

Added echo studio to existing echos and echo dots. Pro: 3d with fire tv. Con: huge size, ugly styling, no difference in sounding to echo despite more than $100 price difference, frequently no sound (mostly amazon cloud issues). If want just music, echo is the best among studio, echo echo dot. If want cheap 3d sound for tv, try studio.

The product itself is excellent. Delivery of the item was not. Ordered for Christmas and it came in the box you literally buy it off the shelf in. Even though it ruined my Christmas present for my mom, I wouldn’t have been upset had it not appeared as though it was thrown on the ground, stomped on and then taped back up. Had to open it that day to make sure it actually worked. It’s fine for now. My advice is to buy in store instead of online. It’s got amazing sound, vibrates our entire living room when we listen to music.

Unless you are lonely or enjoy regular confilct, this product should be pulled from the marketplace. You will regret this purchase within 90 days. The software is JUNK. It never functions hassle free. Do not believe a single positive word written about any Amazon Alexa enabled products. You will spend at least 2 hours per day dealing with technical issues. AVOID THIS GARBAGE. Buy a decent sound bar. Thank me later.

Doesn’t connect to any of the Alexa firetv stuff well at all! I have two of them and the Alexa sub and they don’t even connect to the firetv and play the sound it’s a waste of $600 in sound equipment.

Room-filling smart speaker

We already had an Echo Dot in the kitchen so I already knew I was down with Alexa. My Google Home mini wasn't cutting it in the garage, though, so I upgraded to the Echo Studio. It sounds fantastic and the bass is quite nice. Alexa still hears commands despite the acoustics of the garage and the power of the Studio's speakers. Setup was easy and it was up and running within a couple minutes after plugging in. My only complaint is that Amazon doesn't understand colors, judging from how it sets my Hue lights - but that's more a general complaint about the entire Echo line rather than this specific model. If you don't have external speakers to connect an Echo Dot, etc. to and want bassy music that can readily fill the room (along with the smart speaker abilities), the Studio is worth it.

Beats the Beam and Sub combo for half the cost!

I have the Sonos Beam and Sub but the Atmos and 3D Music capabilities of the Echo Studio made me want to try it. Also, the benefit of the Studio playing well with my other Echo speakers unlike Sonos where it's not fully compatible.
I can't speak to how one Studio sounds becuase I ended up getting two along with the Sub and it blew me away. The Sonos Beam and Sub combo is great for music and movies but the Echo Studio set adds so much more depth to the sound for movies with Atmos that it is clearly more movie theatre sounding. I know it' s not full surround sound but there is separation and Jack Ryan and other Netflix Atmos movies sound so much better with the Studios. For music the Sonos was much closer in quality. I'm going to sell the Beam and Sub and will most likely pay for this set but I wish I would have bought the Studios first and would have saved a lot of money. All 3 speakers cost less than 50% of the Beam/Sub combo. Crazy!! Even the little Atmos startup video when you first set up your Home Theater in Alexa was amazing!

This speaker is LOUD

I purchased this speaker to broadcast Spotify, Vinyl Records (with the addition of an Echo Link), and to use as a general Alexa device. Firstly, the audio quality is excellent. To my ears, it compares with very high-end speakers, but has the added functionality of being WiFi enabled.
Personally, I found the speaker far too loud for my space though. Even at low volumes, I felt it was overpowering. I eventually replaced it with several full sized Echo speakers to get a more balanced sound level throughout my house.

I'm So Happy with this Purchase!!!

I bought my Wife an Echo Studio and I loved it so much I bought myself one. The sound is fantastic for both music and especially movies. I also bought the subwoofer during the pandemic and my family didn't miss going to the theater.
The only negative is that the setup can be a little bit of a pain. The app isn't 100% intuitive, but in about 15 minutes I figured it out. I've had it for about a year now and an app update forced me to do the setup twice more. No big deal.
They are loud and clear. I was leery of having an Alexa device sitting around and listening, but now it is part of the family. My kids love to tell it to play fancy dinner music. They play games on it as well. Overall I'm extremely satisfied by this purchase and the other 2 as well.

Dual use audio and home theater sound device

I actually bought this as a gift for my best friend but only after I tested one myself. The use case is to connect to a 4K firestick plugged into a 4K television in order to hear Dolby Atmos or HD sound playing from the Echo Studio.
Just like in the demo videos, once you set it up and watch the promo video, you hear everything. Searching and playing Dolby Atmos 4K movies yields just a few freebies but sounded really nice. So a good substitute for a sound bar which does 5.1 better but I did not want to spring for a sound bar if the Echo Studio could do double duty as a home theater sound device and as an audio device.
I can't play it higher than level 6 or my neighbors will complain. It is loud, clear, and fun at high volumes. So a perfect gift for my friend to play with and enjoy.

A Real Upgrade from the Echo Plus !

A tremendous upgrade over my Echo Plus! Much larger than the Echo Plus so it really can't be hidden from view as easily but it is attractive. Like the Echo Plus it functions as a hub and readily managed my previous Echo devices. I was disappointed that it would not pair with my Echo Plus (for a stereo experience) without creating groups. This will be my third purchase of this device as I'm upgrading from my former Echo devices which still work beautifully. I'm glad I chose this over buying the Subwoofer option. Very rich sound. I cannot comment on the Dolby Atmos or HD Music experience because I will not be pursuing those features. Purchased two from Best Buy and a 3rd from that "other" place all around the Black Friday time frame. So prices were $50 less than normal.
