I am a hardcore Alexa user and the only complaint is the lack of a high quality sound on any of their units. They have come out with a couple that had nice sound but the units were too light and when placed on hard surfaces would bounce around causing a rattling sound that distracted from the music. Enter the Echo Studio. This thing weighs a tone and it's no surprise when you take a look at the speakers that are housed in this unit! The down firing woofer is rich and full and is well matched with Mids and tweeters to round out the sound. I use this in my music studio as a sampling system and people even use it to play along with the Music Masters. I can't say enough good about this speaker. Oh, and did I mention it has all the usual Alexa features too! I guess that goes without saying.....

I am really enjoying the Amazon Echo and it’s variants (dot, studio, etc). I have a variant of Echo in every room of my house (love the everywhere feature for music). It’s nice setting up programs (“routines” as they are called) to automate simple things of our daily lives. IE: Give me news and weather and some light music after I dismiss my morning alarm; make an announcement at home to my family if I am near a grocery store in case anyone needs anything; intercom’ing with my kids down stairs to tel them dinner is ready or to do their chores; having Alexa automatically ensure all lights and TVs are shut off at a set time to save on energy bills; setting the heat/AC from anywhere in the home; and much much more. The sound quality is great on each variant with the Studio being beautiful sound. My next purchase may be an Echo subwoofer to add to the depth of the Studio. All in all, the 3D sound is great. There are occasional hiccups with a speaker, but a quick power reset has fixed anything I have ran into. All in all, I love the Exhos and it’s Alexa app!

The sound is very good for its size and will fill a small room well. I actually bought two and have them as a stereo pair. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is the Echo software is quirky (to be polite). Probably just fine in solo mode but running as a pair sometimes only one speaker will play. I pretty much know when it will happen and all I have to do is say "echo off" .... say it twice!!! Very strange. Then it will play in stereo.

This speaker is absolutely fantastic for the price. Amazon has been impressing me lately with the value vs sound quality and the Echo Studio is no exception. As a standalone speaker, it can easily fill the room with clean sound especially when placed in the center of a room. We purchased one to connect with a fire cube to provide a better sound while watching movies... the problem is if the speaker is set to the left or right side of the tv the sound will sound unbalanced... Unless you have a way or stand that will allot the speaker to be placed in the center of the tv. Our solution which cost more but well worth it was to buy a second Studio. This allows us to get a more surround sound using the Dolby Atmos ability of the Studio when paired with the Fire Cube or Fire Stick HD. Now the sound our bedroom is very close to the 5.1 surround sound system that's in our living room. Overall a great purchase and cheaper than building a complete 5.1 sound system with separate speakers, wires, stands, and reciver/amp.

I have really enjoyed my purchase so far. The sound is superb for such a small device and at its price-point is hard to match. The functionality is wonderful, especially paired with other devices, like a Fire TV stick. The remote will function with the speaker to control playback and volume, but be aware that without that, the app can be a bit clunky to fine-tune the volume to the perfect level. I wish there was a voice command in smaller increments rather than the 0-10 units available, but finer control can be done using the buttons on top (have to get off the couch), the app (a bit slow if you're multitasking), or paired with a Fire TV (my favorite solution). Overall, can't fault my purchase at all. Sound is wonderful, if not quite audiophile (what can you expect) and certainly packs a punch. There are audio enhancements you can turn off or play with the equalizer to suite your palate. I would recommend this product to anyone on the fence, especially if you pair it with other Amazon services.

I added the echo studio to our family room. It can be played with two other echo sound devices the way that I set it up. I have determined it sounds fine to be played by itself. It has a full range sound. We now use the studio instead of turning on the 5.1 surround sound system to listen to music. I don’t regret my purchase at all when it comes to the sound. The only issue that it has is connectivity with other devices, especially if trying to control via an iPad or iPhone. It occasionally does not play all speakers on the group. Amazon still has some work to do to clean up the software. Not really an indictment of this echo studio speaker, rather the software.

I purchased two Studio speakers and a subwoofer and set them up with ease as a 3 speaker set in my den. I just love the full, rich sound that these provide. Adding the Amazon Music service and Alexa gives me the ability to play just about anything you've ever heard of with a simple voice request. It takes a little effort to learn how to address Alexa to get the exact music that you are looking for, but it's really pretty simple to master the system. I realize these are a little pricey, but I think the sound quality they provide makes it worthwhile. If you don't want to spend the money for these guys, the Echo Dot's actually do a pretty fair job of providing an acceptable music playing solution for a lot less money.

Excellent sound quality BUT the directions are way too minimal...which is not Best Buys fault, it's Amazon or whoever makes the "Echo Studio"...it's their fault. When BF & I tried to set up & connect speaker to Spotify & our computer (so we could turn on Spotify & hear music out of the Echo Studio)...we were on our own. So then it became about trial and error. An hour later, after getting speaker connected to the computer, telling "Alexa" fifty times to play music, inadvertently connecting our Echo Dot to the Studio, and finally realizing that I had to push the button called "skills"...once I went in there I realized that they had a huge list of popular Apps so I did a search for Spotify found it and hit the button. Once that happened. Echo Studio was linked to Spotify and now we were finally able to play the music out of the computer and hear it out of our beautiful new Echo Studio Speaker!!

I got this to replace my first gen Echo - the one thats about the size and shape of a pringles can : ) First off, its absolutely painful to switch your stuff from one echo account to another. You'd think it would be easy, and in fact the app recognized the new Studio right away. But transferring amazon music unlimited (single device) from one to the other was impossible. In the end, I called customer service who did it (which itself was painful as the rep didnt understand english very well) Ok, rant over. This new unit is fine - I expected a huge difference in sound quality and volume - and got the volume part. The sound quality is only marginally better....I had to mess with the EQ, as the bass was way too heavy for me, and I like bass. Maybe its just that my older device was really good? Overall the main improvement for me is Ill have the blue tooth and wireless smart device capability now. tldr: Its a perfectly fine device and if you're new to the echo world you'll love it. It can crank up pretty loud and remains clear.

We have a TV with a beautiful picture but terrible sound. While not unusual and no reflection on the television, streamed content was unwatchable because the dialog could not be heard. We tried different streaming devices then started experimenting with sound bars - starting with one made by the same manufacturer as the display. Still, no luck. Then I tried the Echo which allowed us to pair directly with the streaming device - bypassing the TV. IT IS INCREDIBLE. A single, elegant, unobtrusive device with the most wonderful movie sound. Dialog is clear but without needing to dial down the rest of the audio that makes movies so enjoyable.

If you want great quality sound for music then this is a great choice but if you’re looking to replace your sound bar on your tv then you’ll be disappointed. Normal Alexa activities are awesome and sounds great! Bass is huge and highs are clear. Definitely fun for casually listening on the weekends. If you connect it to your tv it will work via Bluetooth but sounds like an average speaker. Very low quality sound even when you turn up the volume. If you connect via mini optical cable then the sound is just as big and amazing but it will randomly cut off. The echo will become unresponsive and overall becomes an endless cycle of restart/reset with no fix in sight. In short amazing speaker for music and Alexa actions but very buggy if you’re connecting it to a TV.

I just finished setting up my new Echo Studio. It has amazing sound for a relatively small footprint. You can tailor it to a particular type of room and surroundings from numerous canned, preprogrammed environments allowing the speaker to tune itself for the type of room environment it is in. I then played a few tracks from Amazon Music. Sounded good. I then remembered you can further tune to your taste via a 3 band EQ in the Alexa App. Now, I love the full rich sound it provides with just the right amount of bass and treble to suit my taste. This is a good piece of engineering. A little pricey but overall I think it is worth it for the quality of build and performance.

I wish I had bought this before waisting time and money on the other echo speakers. I love having some music when I wake up, and alarm clocks have terrible speakers. If I had on wish I would like a version of this with a screen. Something that could display the time, weather, and date. Obviously I can do that with my phone, but I’d like it built in. I’m aware this has an available subwoofer, but it has plenty of bass without it. If you just want the Alexa as an assistant, a small, cheap echo is fine. If you want to play some Barry White for sexy time, then get this one. Works even when sexy time is alone time.

This Alexa device was very easy to set up and produces great sound! Use it everyday, love it!

I actually bought this as a gift for my best friend but only after I tested one myself. The use case is to connect to a 4K firestick plugged into a 4K television in order to hear Dolby Atmos or HD sound playing from the Echo Studio. Just like in the demo videos, once you set it up and watch the promo video, you hear everything. Searching and playing Dolby Atmos 4K movies yields just a few freebies but sounded really nice. So a good substitute for a sound bar which does 5.1 better but I did not want to spring for a sound bar if the Echo Studio could do double duty as a home theater sound device and as an audio device. I can't play it higher than level 6 or my neighbors will complain. It is loud, clear, and fun at high volumes. So a perfect gift for my friend to play with and enjoy.

I bought my Wife an Echo Studio and I loved it so much I bought myself one. The sound is fantastic for both music and especially movies. I also bought the subwoofer during the pandemic and my family didn't miss going to the theater. The only negative is that the setup can be a little bit of a pain. The app isn't 100% intuitive, but in about 15 minutes I figured it out. I've had it for about a year now and an app update forced me to do the setup twice more. No big deal. They are loud and clear. I was leery of having an Alexa device sitting around and listening, but now it is part of the family. My kids love to tell it to play fancy dinner music. They play games on it as well. Overall I'm extremely satisfied by this purchase and the other 2 as well.

I've wanted this speaker for some time now. I kept waiting for it to go on sale and/or see if Santa brings it to me! Neither happened, so I had to take matters into my own hands and buy it! Look the high volume and sound quality! Using in the house now but come summer, she'll be playing outdoors!
