Get it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best smart speaker and BY FAR, the best Echo. When considering sound, this should be compared to the HomePod or Sonos Play:3, (not Sonos One). Sonos One is comparable by price only, not in sound. Apple had the best "sounding" smart speaker... until I heard the Echo Studio. As other reviewers have mentioned, it has a wide sound stage, handles mids and highs nicely and provides nice bass. It sounds nice with all genres of music. I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of my second studio so I can pair them with my sub and FireTV 4K to use a soundbar.

Still a "stupid" speaker but my favorite thus far
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Operating this utterly "stupid" speaker is maddening. I have two of them set in a stereo-mode. I think my 4 stars is a high mark, and these speakers are way better Apple's HomePod tooters whose base too overwhelming. It seems that all such little speakers, due to physical limitations, exaggerate the base to the point that it's everything you hear. These give you an option to adjust the sound and scale down the frequencies that are too much. So, they sound fine, and when in the stereo-mode and at low volume, they are capable of producing sound bearable for an hour or so. What earns them 4 stars is (1) Alexa; (2) the fact that music is constantly interrupted; (3) the volume can abruptly go too loud (at which point Alexa no longer hears you); (4) and the fact that it can just stop playing the music when it pleases. These 4 points may well be software-related to be addressed later to make the speaker more reliable, but I didn't pay for them to work in the future. To reiterate, the sound is tolerable for casual listening, but don't dream of high-fidelity listening of any sort. These are still my favorite speakers and, together with Amazon's HD music streaming service, this makes them a solution way better than what competitors offer.

Room-filling smart speaker
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We already had an Echo Dot in the kitchen so I already knew I was down with Alexa. My Google Home mini wasn't cutting it in the garage, though, so I upgraded to the Echo Studio. It sounds fantastic and the bass is quite nice. Alexa still hears commands despite the acoustics of the garage and the power of the Studio's speakers. Setup was easy and it was up and running within a couple minutes after plugging in. My only complaint is that Amazon doesn't understand colors, judging from how it sets my Hue lights - but that's more a general complaint about the entire Echo line rather than this specific model. If you don't have external speakers to connect an Echo Dot, etc. to and want bassy music that can readily fill the room (along with the smart speaker abilities), the Studio is worth it.

A Real Upgrade from the Echo Plus !
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A tremendous upgrade over my Echo Plus! Much larger than the Echo Plus so it really can't be hidden from view as easily but it is attractive. Like the Echo Plus it functions as a hub and readily managed my previous Echo devices. I was disappointed that it would not pair with my Echo Plus (for a stereo experience) without creating groups. This will be my third purchase of this device as I'm upgrading from my former Echo devices which still work beautifully. I'm glad I chose this over buying the Subwoofer option. Very rich sound. I cannot comment on the Dolby Atmos or HD Music experience because I will not be pursuing those features. Purchased two from Best Buy and a 3rd from that "other" place all around the Black Friday time frame. So prices were $50 less than normal.

Alexa vs Sonos
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Alexa is our preferred house hold speaker option. We had purchased a group of Sonos speakers hoping for a better listening experience. The setup was an absolute nightmare that wouldn't be consistent so we returned the Sonos and purchased the Alexa. Easy set up and great sound.

Apples and oranges?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Straight and to the point- whether you have an Apple TV, watch , Mac book, iPad, iPhone or all of them, the Apple hub gen 2 will either be next level or a major piece to the Apple ecosystem. This hub isn’t and shouldn’t be compared to other smart speakers, as this isn’t an apples to oranges review. This is apple to apple and If you’re in the ecosystem, it’s a must have. Great sound, cool features, small but mighty, and looks fantastic.

Alexa
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for my wife for Christmas, She never ask for anything but this year she said she wanted an Echo, the sales clerk said this one had the best sound so I went for it! She absolutely loves it and it does have great sound! A little scarey feature, one night my wife said "Goodnight Alexa" and every night at 9:15 Alex says "its time for bed !" Would recommend to anyone who likes to listen to music!

Wow!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Echo Studio because I hoped it would have a little better sound than my other Echo and Echo dots, but I had NO idea just how great this little beast would sound. Quite frankly, it blew the doors off my expectations! I still marvel at what great sound this device has. You can adjust the sound contours through the Alexa app and tailor the sound to your particular listening environment. If you have limited space that you want to fill with BIG sound, this is one device I would definitely consider.

Does it mean expectations?
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sleak Alexa Studio produces a pure deep sound for its size. Definitely loud enough for a large room. I like to feel the bass, so I do wish it was a little stronger. I wanted something capable of linking my Pandora to. I do highly recommend this product!

A speaker for every situation
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Echo studio is that one speaker for every situation. First off it does have base. It doesn’t have that booming base but it sound really good. Also you can amplify that base depending on were you place the speaker. When you first turn it on, it goes through a test mode to check the sound in the room. That was really cool. Also if you have a Fire Tv stick or cube, you can connect this speaker to it through WiFi and hear the sound when watching TV. It sound way better than a sound bar. I want to get another one so I can pair them together but my wife will kill me. Maybe I can talk her into it.(Lol) I think that the sound really fills the room and it’s really amazing. We really love it.

Great sound while I’m doing things around the hous
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great speaker that allows me to connect my phone easily and provides great sound. Are used to connect to Spotify through the TV to play music while I am cleaning, however it’s so much easier to connect to this Amazon device. Provides terrific sound and is a pleasure to listen to audiobooks through as well.

Very nice for such times as these.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. She is a very welcome addition to my living space and has greatly enhanced my human experience. I am presently fighting cancer and the virus and she has been a comfort during such a strange time. After recovering from major surgery back in august 2019 I went to my sisters to recover. She had an one and i just loved it. A month or two after surgery i was diagnosed with cancer and am now getting treatment. Being in my mid 70's, it is an adjustment to be among all these electronics, however, I am making the change. Thank you for remaining open as I really needed alexa.

Save time just buy it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent too much time researching before buying so I’m going to try to help the next person. This is like two echos or echo plus put together. The bass is much harder than the other smart speakers. It is better than the songs one but the the Sonos one is clearer. But for pop and hip hop or soul go echo plus. It’s not as good as apple HomePod but it’s half the price too!! As far as being a smart speaker it got all the smart home features and awesome mics. I actually took Sonia back because I needed a smarter better functioning mic! I’m so happy with this. One complaint tho is it’s either low or high. I listen to loud gospel or 80s hits so I like it loud! I’m in a 20 x 20 open room.

Good for Everything but Connect to TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a decent sounding speaker for it's size. I don't have experience with it's Apple competitor so I cannot speak to a comparison between the two. The studio has decent base for a single speaker and covers the rest of the sound range well. It ultimately did not work for me because I wanted to use it in place of a sound bar for my TV. To make this work it has to be attached with an optical cable. The problem stems from the speakers tendency to disconnect. This happens unpredictably and is totally annoying. Sometimes fixing it simply requires unplugging the optical cord from the TV and plugging it back in. At other times this does not work and you end up rebooting the speaker. I went online to find a solution and discovered this is a common problem with dozens of people sharing similar experiences. Bottom line, if you want to use it as an Alexa device to stream music and carry out other Alexa functions it is great. If you want to attach it to your TV get a sound bar instead with Alexa built in, as connecting with a HDMI cable simply works better.

Small speaker with big sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been very impressed with the studio. Huge upgrade from my echo dots and even my echo plus. The biggest compliment came from my dad who is an audiophile with thousands of dollars worth of stereo equipment at home—he stared at it for a good 5 minutes straight while it played two 3D songs back to back, then said “I have to find a way to sneak this thing out of your house without you noticing.” He is amazed with how powerful yet balanced the acoustics are, pointing out that he couldn’t appreciate any distortion even with the volume cranked to max on bass-heavy songs. I wouldn’t be surprised to walk in and see an echo studio in his living room or dining room the next time I go over to visit.

Best sounding Echo device ever.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had all the echo devices from the original Echo to the newest Echo. They all sound great (except for the dots) but this one sounds amazing. The bass, mids and highs are all nearly perfect and with a little tuning in the Echo App, it sounds even better. Surprisingly, it picks up my voice easier than the previous Echo's and even better than the Echo Auto. 3D music is wild as well. I plan on getting another to set on my TV with the Amazon FireTV or something along those lines. Dolby Atmos is pretty awesome and with two of these you'll get that sound quality for the most part. Add in the Echo Sub for an even more fuller and richer sound.

Echo Studio Stunning Sound
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Listening to Echo Studio on the first day of release. Yes, it does live up to its billing. Echo third generation still amazes me with such full sound in a small device, but the Studio version is the essence of full-range clarity including a booming base. You should have to pay a lot more for what you get in this package. My wife likes music but she’s not an audiophile. When I put Michael Buble on the Amazon Studio this afternoon, she said, “ Oh my, I can’t believe the sound I’m hearing.” And we still have not tested the full HD 3D sound options.
