Good for Everything but Connect to TV

This is a decent sounding speaker for it's size. I don't have experience with it's Apple competitor so I cannot speak to a comparison between the two. The studio has decent base for a single speaker and covers the rest of the sound range well. It ultimately did not work for me because I wanted to use it in place of a sound bar for my TV. To make this work it has to be attached with an optical cable. The problem stems from the speakers tendency to disconnect. This happens unpredictably and is totally annoying. Sometimes fixing it simply requires unplugging the optical cord from the TV and plugging it back in. At other times this does not work and you end up rebooting the speaker. I went online to find a solution and discovered this is a common problem with dozens of people sharing similar experiences. Bottom line, if you want to use it as an Alexa device to stream music and carry out other Alexa functions it is great. If you want to attach it to your TV get a sound bar instead with Alexa built in, as connecting with a HDMI cable simply works better.

Had problem with adjusting and balancing other speakers in great room with cathedral ceilings. Speakers are great. Set up via app difficult. After calling amazon help on phone around 2 hours no resolution. Tech person clueless. Got geek squad out and they set up system.

I have been very impressed with the studio. Huge upgrade from my echo dots and even my echo plus. The biggest compliment came from my dad who is an audiophile with thousands of dollars worth of stereo equipment at home—he stared at it for a good 5 minutes straight while it played two 3D songs back to back, then said “I have to find a way to sneak this thing out of your house without you noticing.” He is amazed with how powerful yet balanced the acoustics are, pointing out that he couldn’t appreciate any distortion even with the volume cranked to max on bass-heavy songs. I wouldn’t be surprised to walk in and see an echo studio in his living room or dining room the next time I go over to visit.

I have had all the echo devices from the original Echo to the newest Echo. They all sound great (except for the dots) but this one sounds amazing. The bass, mids and highs are all nearly perfect and with a little tuning in the Echo App, it sounds even better. Surprisingly, it picks up my voice easier than the previous Echo's and even better than the Echo Auto. 3D music is wild as well. I plan on getting another to set on my TV with the Amazon FireTV or something along those lines. Dolby Atmos is pretty awesome and with two of these you'll get that sound quality for the most part. Add in the Echo Sub for an even more fuller and richer sound.

I bought this as a combo with one Echo Studio. It was on sale for a fair price. I had an Echo Dot 3rd gen, not much bass. So I figured the Echo Studio would need some help too. After trying it out, the Echo Studio didn’t need much help. The bass speaker added a lot of bass. Sometimes too much. I wish there was a volume control for the bass speaker. The App does have a slider for bass, but it turns down the bass on the Studio and bass speaker. This is not a great design. I read reviews that stated the bass speaker didn’t add much. I must have received a supercharged item. Because , WOW! I would recommend this purchase, just wishing there was a volume control just for this speaker.

I purchased the Echo Studio in March 2020 with the intent of trying it out. If it was less quality than my Sonos Play 5 I would return it. This is one superb new product. The bass is rich. The mid levels and the treble are crisp and clear. You can tell Alexa to increase bass, mid-level, or treble if a song you are listening to is a poor recording and obtain the levels you desire. One of my favorite things about the Echo Studio is the "3D" remastered recordings that Amazon Music has to listen to. Telling Alexa to play "3D music" will give you an mind blowing experience worth listening to. You can literally hear the pick against guitar strings or the piano keys being stuck inside the piano. What an outstanding music platform the 3D music is (and is growing daily). I have a large great room near my kitchen. I can allow Studio to make concert quality sound in the great room or I can have Studio play so that the entire house gets quality sound.
It really is an enjoyable* high quality listening experience with the depth and assistance of Alexa!

Listening to Echo Studio on the first day of release. Yes, it does live up to its billing. Echo third generation still amazes me with such full sound in a small device, but the Studio version is the essence of full-range clarity including a booming base. You should have to pay a lot more for what you get in this package. My wife likes music but she’s not an audiophile. When I put Michael Buble on the Amazon Studio this afternoon, she said, “ Oh my, I can’t believe the sound I’m hearing.” And we still have not tested the full HD 3D sound options.

Just wanted to say that I am overall happy with this speaker. Sound overall is good, ease of use is good, looks great and feels solid. Now I have a good Google home max and these to speakers sound pretty close- good highs and miss, and acceptable bass ( remember, this is a smaller woofer, so don't expect room shaking bass). But it fills my medium room very well. The 3D sound and Atmos is awesome and a great feature. Overall again, this a very good speaker that sounds really good. I can't wait to pair it with another for true stereo sound.

These speakers are excellent. Using Alexa you can hook 2 of them up to create a stereo sound field, You can also make them part of your whole home audio system.
they sound good and have all the functions of an Echo, like asking it to play your favorite bands songs.

I've owned a single Echo Studio for some time and thought it would be great to get a second so I could listen in stereo. After setting it up with the Alexa app on my phone, I was able to get stereo output. It does increase the richness of the sound in my office. My one complaint is that there's no way to individually adjust the volume of each speaker in a stereo pair. Other than that, completely satisfied with this purchase. These little speakers sound great. Especially 3D sound.

I’m new to using the Echo. I purchased my first Echo one day and loved it. 2 weeks later Best Buy alerted me about the Echo Studio being something I would find interest in. I checked me measurements compared to the Echo and saw that it was about larger (in which) I wanted. My Echo Studio sits in my living room/ dining area and the sound is amazing throughout the entire home. At times I don’t have to use the other echo unless I have the sound playing “everywhere”. Definitely, a purchase I would recommend!!

This unit works flawlessly and like an echo plus rather than an Echo dot. It plays music from Amazon music or my Pandora account, but with enough sound for my back patio. The sound is fantastic. Note that it isn't a outdoor speaker so to speak because it isn't weather proof, but my patio is covered and it is placed right next to the house so that isn't an issue (I also bring it in during the winter as it does get cold at times in Colorado, but then I just have better sound inside for those months). It is a large deck and back yard and this speaker is loud enough to really enjoy it out there.

Love the echo studio. I have several Bluetooth speakers around my house. Some of Wich I think are very very good. However this is by far the best speaker I have owned. For the money it rivals Sonos and frankly the Alexa bit makes it that much more appealing. Can’t go wrong if you’re ok with spending a couple hundred.

We had a pair of Echo Dots in the house helping us to reach each other (like an intercom) and also picking up information like the weather, our doorbell (a Ring) and more. Adding this far more powerful speaker has added full dimension audio, read MUSIC, to our house.
The sound is really good, crisp, clear and balanced adding a wonderful background to our home most all the time.

I loved its speakers for music in the house while doing everyday tasks. Easy use with no problems of it understanding what I need. Works for kids and adults with its features and multilingual for those who don’t speak english. Overall excellent choice for everyone who enjoys technology without the excessive steps on how to learn the product.

I've been using the first generation Alexa/Echo for years and have been waiting for a unit with more volume/bass, now I have it! Yes, I like it for music (although vocals in some songs can get drowned out a bit) but for listening to audio books, or just asking Alexa/Echo questions, the voice is too loud and has way too much bass and sounds unnatural/muddy. The first generation model was much better in that department. Also, I use the timer all the time while cooking, it always blasts way too loud. Hopefully Amazon can tweak the settings for lower volume for everything other than music, and more natural sounding voices.
Finally, I very much preferred the twisting top for volume adjustment on the old model compared to the little buttons on the new model. With all this said, the music/bass is so much better on the new unit that I plan to use this one all the time now. :)
Btw, three cheers to Best Buy for having this in stock and shipping it so fast! Amazon is out of stock for weeks.
