Worked for a couple of days...

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased as a Christmas gift for my daughter and to our disappointment it worked for about two days when it started to become unresponsive with a red flashing ring. The microphone button was not depressed yet it would not respond to any commands. I tried to reset it several times and it helped once but it would go back to the red ring over night. It did sound nice when it worked but the entire experience was frustrating. It also did not appear to have been opened and the box seemed undamaged so not sure what the issue was...just a lemon I guess. We returned it and picked up a Sonos for a few bucks more and it has had zero issues. Never had any issues with any Amazon echo devices until I got this one.

You can further adjust your devices sound settings in the Alexa App. Your Echo Studio may also require a software update that will also be available in the Alexa app or by asking Alexa when the device is powered on. The sound quality pales in comparison to the more expensive HomePod but also to the lower-priced Sonos options. It is not horrible. It is use not worth the money. Buy a Sonos, more functionality and less expensive.

The sound is just ok even with the echo sub. Bass is sorely lacking. It's slightly better than some of amazons other speakers but I'm not sure the increase in price is worth it as these will not blow you away. I did have some difficulty setting up this speaker but amazon was very helpful. Once we figured out the problem(which was an account issue, not speaker related) it went smoothly. They do really play nicely with amazon's other speakers which once set up can give you seamless sound throughout your house and was the one reason I purchased these instead of a sonos. If you want edifier sound quality these are not for you. If you want meh sound that is slightly better than some of amazon's/google/apples other products than go for it.
