The Homepod is unfortunately not one of our devices! The Echo Studio is much larger than the Homepod and the Echo Studio features spatial audio processing technology for a wider and more immersive audio experience. For stereo formats, spatial audio processing technology creates a wider and more enveloping sound stage. Its 5 speakers produce powerful bass with improved clarity, dynamic midrange, and crisp highs. Dolby Atmos technology adds space, clarity, and depth.

For an Alexa enabled device it is certainly adequate, however, as a premium speaker, this Echo Studio is lacking. For the price, purchasing any standalone echo device and pairing it with an Echo Subwoofer is the MUCH better option. Even with 3D audio, this speaker is generally underwhelming.

You can further adjust your devices sound settings in the Alexa App. Your Echo Studio may also require a software update that will also be available in the Alexa app or by asking Alexa when the device is powered on. The microphone button was not depressed yet it would not respond to any commands. I tried to reset it several times and it helped once but it would go back to the red ring over night. It did sound nice when it worked but the entire experience was frustrating. It also did not appear to have been opened and the box seemed undamaged so not sure what the issue was...just a lemon I guess. We returned it and picked up a Sonos for a few bucks more and it has had zero issues. Never had any issues with any Amazon echo devices until I got this one.
