I had very high hopes for this device after listening to it in the store. However, the sound quality and range is very lacking. Comaping this to our Marshall Stanmore II with Alexa and an old portable Marshall speaker this Amazon Studio doesn't even begin to compare. Very tinny sound with no bass and muffled voices was our experience. I played 5 songs, compared them to our Marshall products and boxed it back up. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Has great sound quality! Easily detects voice commands

I liked the speaker for 4k and uhd videos which had surround sound. However for other sounds it was not very clear or even loud. Also I was using it with Toshiba tv so it might just be me. Also a bit heavy, otherwise it was a nice product overall.

Overall good, but has some problems. Some times it wake-up by itself!

Good sound, does not work as smoothly as Echo plus.

The sound is good. However we have several Echo products and it seems to be impossible to make this the default speaker.I hope, if we can ever talk to Amazon, that they will help. If not I will return.

I purchased this thinking it would be better than the other Alexas I have set up. Unfortunately the sound was not any better than the older models. I was really hoping it would be allot louder but falls short.

Bought on sale for $169.99. The sound is nothing special until you bump it up to level 10; Really disappointing. When you do bump it to 10; wow; great sound. It's a good product, when volume set to high, but is outrageously overpriced.

Works great as a speaker, if you do not use the audio input from a television. It needs to be reset quite often, does not reliably respond to voice commands. I wish I could return this, but it is past the return date

The audio quality is pretty good. Not a lot of control for sound other than bass, mid and treble adjustments. I had to turn it to 90% in my 14 x 20ft room to be useable. I thought it'd be louder. If you have other sources like a DVD or game, you need to use the optical cable out of the TV. It worked initially, then I got no audio at all. Then the firestick lost it's sync to it and it stopped working as an echo. I had to reset and set it up all over again. Didn't work for my intentions. And apparently it only had a 15day return policy. Should have read more carefully and bought it from Amazon that had 30day returns.

Thought I would get better sound and volume through the Studio, but find it no better than the Echo speakers I have.

It’s ok, but not worth 200.00 wait until it goes on sale. The sound is great, but has connection issues out of the box.

Didn't find the sound sufficient for the room, and the imaging seemed almost non-existent. Replaced with powered speakers and an Echo Dot, and MUCH happier with that.

This is the 8th Echo that I have purchased for my home, my parents and others. It's a brand I believe strongly in. But this is the first time Amazon has disappointed me. Its sound is SLIGHTLY better than a normal Echo but not enough to justify the price jump. The Amazon Music HD subscription doesn't make it any better than Spotify. I've tried putting it in several rooms but it still produces the same mono sound. The 3D label is a joke. I can honestly say I wish I hadn't bought it. I'd much rather recommend the biggest Echo Show you can afford. Sounds the same but the video adds much more.

It’s ok, the regular echo actually has much better sound quality.

This is one of the best investments i have made on a electronic. The sound quality is amazing. Crystal clean and has that perfect bass. i will definitely be purchasing more of these as Christmas gifts. This was absolutely a great buy for the money. Alexia you are the best.

Love the sound on my Echo Studio. It defaulted with a little too much bass, not enough treble. I adjusted the sound using the Alexa app. Alexa is very patient, it even understands my wife's english. English is not her first language. I can ask it a question during music playing, it will continue playing the music with a little lower volume, while it answers my question, then resumes volume and continues playing.

Really big speaker but not great sounding as others. I also have trouble connecting this to my fire stick, and yes I have added this to a speaker group. It will connect when and when it doesn't want to.

Alexa isn't as efficient as products that you would would be. Now the quality of the speaker is worth the money.

Impressive product and design. Getting it connected to the system through the Alexa app surprisingly isn't straightforward.... much more of a challenge than connecting an Echo Dot or a smart light or a plug.
