I was hesitant to purchase due to the fact its always listening but its says you can disable, not sure it actually stops listening but it does sound good

Much louder, and has pretty good base for what it is. Love the form factor. The sales price is even more worth the bargain.  It does have its quirks though. Sometimes you can constantly repeat whatever it is you want it to do but it will not happen. For instance, by saying, Alexa, “stop playing music” it somehow gets in a loop or whatever it is, and just continues to play until you unplug it from the wall. Needs a little bit of work.
