I like the available features such as accessing to the radio stations and sirius xm, lyft, uber, banks account, and controlling home smart devices. It is a nice product that is a fun to have at home.

Amazon echo is a great speaker if you love techy things! It tells you the weather and whatever else you would like to do!

The Amazon Echo provides great sound quality with no fuss. Just say "Alexa play me some music" and voila!!! Set up is easy.

Had bought the Amazon Tap and then decided to try Echo and feel it's definitely a step up in ease to use and sound.

Bought the Echo to use with my Alarm.com security system as a voice recognition interface. Did not expect to see my friends and family also buy one for other reasons. Great product, price too high!

So many great things to say. This product is awesome and can be configured to do so many things. I use it for my morning briefing of hot news, sports and weather. I also use her to turn on/off my theater system and NEST thermostat. Would highly recommend. Even the novice can configure and use this prodcut. You are only limited by your imagination. Just do your homework. There are many many automation options. You need to figure out the best brands and products for your lifestyle.

After using the echo for a little bit now, I am still impressed with what it can do. I am also very impressed with the speed and accuracy of customer service that Amazon provides with this device.

I did not rate this with 5 stars because It is difficult to use the verbal commands much of the time. I usually have to have the room completely quiet for it to understand my verbal commands to turn smart switches off. Overall, it is great to have. Still would purchase if I had not already

This is one of the coolest and neatest tech toys out there. It has a reasonable price and offers many many options in terms of use. It can pair with your lights and many other tech toys to be all verbally controlled. It is a great source for simple things even such as weather and news. Have an amazon Prime account and feel free to unleash the music as the speaker in Alexa is pretty beast and can handle some serious tunes. Worth the money if you like tech, both small and big.

I bought the Echo and a few Hue light bulbs when the radio that I use to listen to NPR new in the morning died on me. I've been very happy. I didn't even have to set it up to find my radio station! I just said, "Alexa, listen to 88.9 FM," and she did it. Just like that. My kids ask her to check their math problems for their homework. We use her to check the weather before getting dressed in the morning. The lighting set up was super easy. Alexa is a nice addition to our family.

Once this is hooked up to your wifi it is a great little product. I tried hooking it up on my computer but it went much more easily on my smart phone. You can ask it almost anything and she will respond. Plays music tell you jokes, etc. You will have to subscribe to a music service. Pandora is free as are many other services. Once subscribed you just have to ask her to play your favorite music and it will play all day! Oh it can also be used as an alarm to wake you up each morning.

At first when my husband bought this, I fought more electronics to learn. I now love using it especially when I am cooking and I can saw Echo, add cinnamon to grocery list. I also have many cam lighting that I can only say turn on couch one or two or fireplace light and not light up all 9 cams. The say play music is great. It also tells jokes and the recent news or weather. we now have echoes on two levels of the house.But don't worry, he will add some to level 3 soon lol

Echo was very easy to set up, even for someone less then tech savvy. Works great with Philips Hue & Sirius xm.

We use it so often - especially for music! We also use it for timers, controlling lights - we can't live without it!

This was really easy to set up and it works perfectly the speaker sounds great for its size I wish it had some bass

Bought primarily to have voice command music in kitchen/dining area- Available music catalog without buying a subscription service is more limited than I expected. I've gone back to using You-Tube on my I-pad because so many of the songs I want are only available for a price in the Echo. The constant Alexa response to my music request is :"Here's a sample of..." "Would you like to purchase..." is irritating. No, I don't want to purchase the song! I can listen to it for free elsewhere. I would not have purchased the Echo if I had known how limited the free music library was, how often it relies on live versons of songs or cover-versions, instead of studio verions by the original artists, and how often it will pitch subscription services instead of delivering the song that I wanted.

It's so much fun to use, and helpful. Plays music, reports weather/traffic, even reads Wikipedia articles. Great item.

To be honest, I rolled my eyes about first getting a device like this but I was wrong, I love it! The sound of the speaker for playing music was far better then expected. Getting weather, asking about store hours, setting timers, having it tell a joke, news updates, playing music or streaming radio stations this has turned out to be REALLY handy!! Bonus, you can rename Alexa to Computer, so now I can feel like I'm on the Enterprise asking question...lol

I bought the Echo because on the commercials it looks cool, but I also have Google Home. Amazon spends a lot of money on commercials and I like Google Home way better for a variety of reasons like internet searches, it is not geared mainly to buying stuff, and the way it interfaces with my Z-Wave, Hue, Samsung Smartthings, and Honeywell devices. Advertising can buy a lot of customers even if the product is not quiet as good. Amazon Echo does not work with smart home devices unless there is internet service (like wifi only) and neither does Google Home. This is a big fail by both for working with smart home devices like switches, thermostats, irrigation systems. Smart Home products would be better made by someone who's primary business is not being a retail / internet store.
