I initially purchased this Echo in order to be able to complete a verb al shopping list. I did not see myself using any of the other features. Well , I was wrong. I love this! I use it to make my shopping list, set timers for cooking, get a weather report, get traffic conditions, get a news update and with a Wemo plug to turn the lights off and on. I love it and I am going to purchase Echo Dots to place throughout my home and use with this Amazon Echo.

Not for everyone. Have to remember phrases to command Alexa. Once you get use to it u will love it. Sound quality is not bad for a little device. Wish it had a built in battery.

Wonderful speaker that is easy to use. I have parred it with both my IPad and IPhone and it works great with both!!

I have to confess, I am sure this thing is being underutilized. It is great for weather, Flash Briefings, and other pieces of information. IFTTT? Raspberry Pi? People tell me things they can do and I'm like, "Hey, I'm getting Philips Hue to work. That's about as advanced as I'm going right now." Nevertheless, I do enjoy being able to call up my music from Amazon Prime Music, order pizza, and switch between my account and my wife's. Seriously enjoying it.

I got this for a friend as a gift. Its amazing. It makes my house a smart house. The volume is great can hear it through out the house. Also arms my house and turns my roomba on. Love it.

We were given our first Echo as a Christmas present last year and since then, we have purchased a Echo Dot for our guest room and this 2nd Echo for our Master Bedroom. The sound quality is terrific and we love the convenience of getting quick questions answered, listening to music and being able to stop/start at will, and the overall memory capability of the Echo. We purchased two and will give the 2nd one to a relative for their Christmas present!

I've had the echo for a couple of months now and enjoy having it around. Whether it's asking Alexa to put something on the shopping list or look something up the echo is always responsive.

We love being able to listen to the radio or get the weather from Alexa. We are still learning all the different things that she can do for us. The only complaint that I have is that there is not a whole lot of directions on how to use or find different things it can do for you.

This was not a necessary product for my family, but we sure are having fun with it. At first I think my 7 year old thought we were talking through a microphone to a real person. He understands now that Alexa is not real, but he sure has fun asking questions and making requests. Overall, Alexa is really good at answering, and my whole family enjoys having her around. Hopefully there's not someone listening to everything that goes on in my house.:)

I was in need of a quality bluetooth speaker and, as an Amazon Prime member, I figured I would give this a shot. I was blown away by the quality of the sound and the quality of the controls. I put it up their with Sonos and Bose as far as sound. The voice activations and commands have never failed to work for me and at full volume she can rattle some windows. The only drawback is it is not portable and requires an outlet to operate. Otherwise, you can't go wrong.

I would of never have considered getting Alexa until I house sat and the owners had one. I love music and she could play every genre keep in mind you have to sign up for 2.99 monthly fee it is so convenient just to ask her to play music and the sound from such a small unit is phenomenal. I also purchased the starter kit for the lights she will turn them on and off by your request and you can set it up on a timer which is great when you're out of town .

The Amazon Echo revolutionized my home. I connected to my spotify, my phillips Hue and everything else. It is a gem of an idea to make voice control work your whole home. The only thing I would say is that it should come with the voice control remote. Once I got it, as a separate purchase, It completed the outstanding experience I so desperately desired. I will tell you that if you don't have the Echo, shame on you. This is the future and it is here now. I love it.

This device has a great sound that fills the room. It is easy to use and voice commands are convenient.

I have used the echo and echo dots now for about 9 months and they are phenomenal. If you have a dumb home and are interested in making it smart, this product is a great place to start.

This was a birthday gift for my daughter but I must say I want one for myself! Great sound and easy to operate.

the sound is excellent and it was easy to set up. have use it to control light outlets and play music.

There's things she cant do that are very useful. Certain commands she cant do. Listening to music, weather, setting alarms, asking about your schedule, setting reminders=great.
