Battery life is horrible

Maybe great for a kid but not for anybody looking to use this for anything more than to read books or listen to music. Battery life is horrible, but I believe it’s due to Amazon running ads and some other amazon apps that continuously run in the background (there is no way of stopping them. The ads you can stop but you have to pay Amazon another $15 to stop them.). For me, I’m just using it for the music for my home gym and that’s it. If you are looking to do more with a tablet, I DO NOT recommend any of the Amazon Fire tablets for that.
