Good for younger kids, durable, fast, only downside really was installing kids YouTube. Had to install an app and a preform a few more steps that would allow us to install kids YouTube which is the main reason we purchased this tablet. Kinda a hassle. Other than that, it's great.

It is the perfect travel size. So very handy! !!!

Good basic tablet for anyone already invested in the Amazon environment. Especially good for streaming audio via Bluetooth if you have an Amazon music account. Solid video streaming with the ability to temporarily download content for viewing without an internet connection through Amazon Prime.

I love Best Buy and this is a great deal. However if you're looking for a nice tablet, this is very low end. But it is super inexpensive too! It works for a cheap browser/reader. Best Buy was much cheaper than Amazon for their own tablet!

I only gave the Fire 7 tablet four stars because of the longevity of the battery. After a full charge, the battery starts to decline immediately and you can see the battery life counting down. Other than that, I think it’s reasonably priced and shows great video quality.

Used the original Fire 7 for my two older kids and it decided to quit before the 3rd kid could use it. No complaints though, it served us well for the cost. That's why I had no problem getting the latest one! It's been working well and is much more responsive than the original one was.

I don’t remember buying this, but it must have been on sale. One of these little sh1ts keeps breaking the tablets and this is the last one. Kids don’t appreciate crap. As a matter of fact, I’m gonna to order a steak for dinner, and these kids are getting hot dogs.

If you are getting this as a child’s tablet it’s great. I was getting it for school and didn’t know that really all you can do is books. You can’t download chrome or anything that I needed for school. It got returned

My daughter loves this tablet! It's one of the best things I've ever had for all of my 9 children. They use it for pretty much everything, including school purposes. I will definitely be recommending this to a lot of my friends and family especially the ones that have kids!!

I also have the last gen of the Fire 7. This new one is a bit faster and the screen seems a bit better, but the battery seems horrible. The battery drains pretty fast even when not being used but not turned off. The battery is rated for about one hour less than the last gen, and I can tell! I also have a 2016 fire 8 and a 2017 fire 10 and love both of those and really like my 2017 fire 7, but this new one just dies to fast to fully enjoy. Maybe mine just has a faulty battery?

Grandma needed a new tablet to play words with friends on. Downloaded the game from the amazon app store (words with friends). It would just keep closing out of the app. So, I went through the process of downloading the google play app store so I could download Words with friends 2. It took longer than necessary as this thing isn't packing much heat in the processing department. Just got Words 2 running but it's not great. It's pretty laggy and slow but it's a 50$ tablet I'm not quite sure why I expected anything more. I'll have to check back with gma to make sure it's running at least as good as her old one.

If you want a tablet for light use, this is the one. I really do mean light use (mostly media) though because this won't handle power tasks such as running most games, since it is a bit of a slug with only 1gb of RAM. Also Amazon's Fire OS isn't the smoothest.

I got this for my kids. They always ask for my phone so I got them tablets. I like the way it for. You can control how long they be on it and the sites you don't want them on. You will get an email when the download something to or have to ask you if it's on if they can.

I got the Amazon Fire tablet for my granddaughter. She’s 7years old and has used tablets since she was 2. Right away she could play games, watch videos, and take a ton of pictures. It’s a hit and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a small tablet for a great price.

Cheap and came with a dead pixel so I took it back. Best Buy’s tablet section was abysmal also the display looked like an abandoned store. I wanted to compare the screen size with my phone but the display only had fire 10”. I eventually ended up exchanging it for a fire 8” which I like for what it is. I would definitely buy this for a young child though seeing as its very cheap and can easily run simple child’s games without lag.
