I love this little tablet. I use it to play games as the screen size is much larger than my phone. I have a lot of Amazon products and am happy with them all. This tablet is a little slow....as I'm used to lighting fast response on my phone and computer....but it was on sale for $35 and you can not beat the quality for the price.

Great for the kids , has parental controls that work well for the most part. Supports the normal streaming services , Netflix, Disney plus etc . We used it on a 19 he drive and was better than any DVD player as it has games and books plus more . Multiple profiles are available, which allows you to seamlessly switch between kids version and adult . All this is password protected.

Purchased 2 Fire 7 tablets for our granddaughters for Christmas. Got a good deal on them (Black Friday). Didn't want to spend too much on something kids are going to handle, leave laying on the floor, lose in the couch, etc. But because these are Amazon tablets, it has the Silk operating system that is not completely Android app friendly. Some apps such as original, regular YouTube, are not downloadable, unless you do some funky, cumbersome side-loading. Instead there are other, similar apps like VTube for YouTube (also a Google product) but this app in particular is not COMPLETELY KID FRIENDLY, even though all parental settings are set for absolutely NO ADULT CONTENT. (One granddaughter had a lewd comic video pic on the home page of the VTube app.) Amazon Freetime is great for strict parental settings, but it can't control app content. Bottom line, keep a watch on EVERYTHING that pops up on whatever apps are downloaded for the kids!! But, for an inexpensive tablet that wouldn't be a big deal if it gets lost or damaged, these are great!!

I love my Kindle! I use it every day and the battery is still holding out even after a year later! It has a long bettery life and I love the feature of it reading books to you! I love the different text size options and its so much easier to read than a paper book.

All I was looking for, I had an older Dell netbook that Dell had "given up on" (they categorically refused to try and fix that model even for money). It wasn't that it "no longer worked" but if I tried and use it for Zoom sessions it broke up the entire session as soon as I unmuted the mic (and like everyone else I average about 2 sessions a week nowadays). Besides I'd already plowed a small fortune into the Dell trying various notions of what I thought was wrong. Now I looked at various iOS and "true" Android tablets, the very LAST thing I wanted was "an Alexa platform", and yet...quad processors, ninth-gen design, and it was really the cheapest thing that I felt I could count on (and probably take it back if it didn't work). But it turns out this platform is actually quite mature, I even had no problem setting it up as an email client on both platforms that I get Zoom meeting URLs on, the creen is much bigger than my ancient iPhone am the battery life about double for this purpose. And if I want to "jailbreak" it and put the Google play store on I can always do that! Now the camera certainly isn't "hi-rez" but it's fine for what I'm using it for, definitely worth the small amount I paid for it.

Excellent tablet for my small task. Checking my email. Preparing my grocery list among other chores etc... A great assistant when you like to be organized and complete your errands in a orderly fashion. The tablet itself has the right technology and quality at a affordable price.

Pretty cheap for a tablet that can almost do what an iPad can. I bought this for my 5 year old son and he loves it! He loves it better than his iPad because of it’s cute size and it’s lightness. Will buy another one for my daughter when I get the chance just for kindle books alone.

I just wanted a small, cheap tablet for storing recipes and have handy in the kitchen. This was it, price was right. However, I don't care for the OS, it's set up for Amazon (obviously) and there are ads, which I get enough of other places. Anyway, I am so use to using Android systems, this is just way too different, I am a creature of habit, sticking to what know. I am not going to say it is a bad tablet, it wouldn't be fair. My review is basically to say it is preloaded to work with amazon- so if that's what ya want- go for it! Not too customizable, can't hid icons unless you put them all in a folder. Eh- It's just not what I wanted. I selected to recommend, only because there really isn't anything poor to say and this may suit someone else's needs.

I have several Kindles of various sizes but wanted the smaller one for reading as it is lighter to hold on to for lengthy periods. It's great! Easy to use as all the Kindles are. Never disappointed with a Kindle!

I like the tablet. If you have kids great to download games to keep them off your phone. Also good for watching movies. I use it to pay bills. Download apps like Pinterest. Overall it's a nice tablet.

The Amazon Fire 7 tablet is exactly what you might expect: a reasonably functional tablet with thorough immersion in the Amazon ecosystem. Featuring integration with Alexa enabled devices, built in connectivity to the Amazon marketplace, as well as Kindle, Audible, and Amazon entertainment apps. The 1024x600 resolution IPS panel is easily viewed from all but the most extreme angles, though there is approximately .5” of bezel on all sides of the screen, creating an effect that makes the display seem smaller than it is. The speaker is mediocre at best, and the audio quality is marginally improved when listening through the 3.5mm jack. The greatest drawback of this tablet is the processor speed and available RAM. There is noticeable input lag, even when doing something as simple as navigating the menus, and it will only get worse the more apps you have open. If you have a smartphone that was manufactured 2016 or later, it will likely be faster than this tablet. Similarly, the 16gb edition only allows the user ~9gb of storage—roughly half the advertised space. It does feature expandable storage via MicroSD, however. One thing that you might be displeased to learn is that this is the “Ad Supported” version of the Fire 7–which means your Lock Screen isn’t customizable, but rather ads pushed out by Amazon. If subliminal or non consensual advertising is something that puts you off, you might want to consider another option. There is a way to remove these ads, but it requires and intermediate/advanced level of technical literacy. As long as you temper your expectations and understand that you won’t be taking home a performance powerhouse, you’ll likely be satisfied (but not necessarily pleased) with this purchase.

The tablet does what I need it to do. It's new, it's clean and protected by an extended warranty that I paid for. I purchased a tablet case from a hole in the wall store in downtown LA that sells generic cases. My tablet is clearly not an iPad and the salesperson referred to my Amazon Fire 7 as generic. I thought his use of the word 'generic' was odd because he has a store full of no name, generic products. LOL. Also, I didn't have to download any apps. Many apps were already installed- time saver. It also synced easy with my laptop and android phone. I am totally into Android/ Google & Windows products. I've used both Mac and Windows products and I prefer Android/ Chrome & Windows. Mac serves some purposes but just not for me.

It has it limitations in speed memory and apps and the ads on lock screen a re annoying, BUT for this price it's a great tablet that you can toss in the back seat, your travel bag, or suitcase and not worry about it.
