I use the Fire tablet while doing FB Lives for my business. It helps me read the comments that people are leaving in real time. It also helps me to see what people are seeing as they are watching. I can quickly see if I am on camera and set up straight.

The graphics seem fine to me although reviews indicate the HD tablet graphics are a step above those on this tablet. Response time of apps is quick, and the battery lasts several hours. I usually use this for browsing via browsers other than Silk as I've personally taken the risk and chose to install Google Play on this tablet.

Nice tablet for the price , easy to use for on the go !!

This new Kindle Fire 7” screen is the same size as the old one but the frame is slightly thinner so the overall dimensions are a smidgeon smaller. This new one comes with lots of pre-loaded apps (which were not on the old one) and it makes the home screen look very busy. You have to search through all the icons for the Kindle icon in order to read a book. I wonder if there is a way to move some of those icons off the home page and I will ask tech support about that. Regarding Alexa, I would like to reassure any readers who, like me, would prefer not to have it, that it is very easy to disable the Alexa function. During the set-up process, the program offers "enable" or "disable" Alexa, so it is simple to just tap on "disable" and shut down Alexa. I do like that this version offers several background lighting options – and I enjoy using that feature. I tried the paperwhite and didn't like it, so I am back to the Kindle Fire 7" even though I prefer the older versions.

Saw this one on sale and bought this to replace my mother-in-law's old Kindle Fire. She uses it to play games and read books. We were able to get everything transferred from the old one to the new one. It takes a while, so be patient. It does not come with a case. It would be nice if one was included.

The tablet is too slow and does not have enough memory, so it lags a lot. Amazon running ads on it does not help. I returned it.

I love these Amazon Fires. They are good quality and so affordable. I got them for my kids to take when we travel, because I wont be upset if they get lost. But they work so well, and you can save videos directly to them, that I use them to watch tv. They are awesome!

Good size. Cool features great price. Just what I needed

Good tablet for children. Does what it needs to - youtube, simple apps, etc.. ads are annoying on the lockscreen, as i accidentally click them sometimes... im not sure if this is a feature that you can turn off. Battery is okay, lasts maybe 7 hours ish, which isn't horrible. For the price, its a pretty decent tablet.
