I probably wouldn't have bought this if it hadn't been on Black Friday sale for $29.95, because I know enough about the technology to know it's a seriously underpowered tablet with an app catalog limited by design to those sold by Amazon. Yes, you can "sideload" non-Amazon Store Android apps, but that's more effort and less security than I'm comfortable with for such a cheap device connected to my home network! My main use for this is as a streaming music server, for which it's (mainly) admirably suited - just capable enough to stream music via Bluetooth to our sound system, and simple enough that my wife can use it by clicking on the WQXR (Classical Music) or Classic Rock app and stream music. I know most people would buy it for their kids given the low cost - so long as you stay within the Amazon ecosystem, you should be reasonably safe. It's relatively durable, but if your kids are, well, kids, I'd recommend you use the Tablet's Amazon app to find a protective case for it!

For the price this is a great deal and a great purchase esxpecially for kids with the kid mode. Makes it a family friendly tablet. Our little one will enjoy this for his Christmas gift.

Great basic tablet, has all the functionality that most people use. Minor drawback is the very low internal memory, but it's low price and ability to add a micro SD card make up for it.

We bought this tablet for a 13 yr old, (in order to reclaim my tablet back from him) It's a solid little tablet for the price. Sound and screen are good, and it's a good size. A couple of tips: Amazon loads a fair number of ads on the device, that you can get rid of for about $15. I recommend it, budget for it. Also, it doesn't come with the Android Play store, but there's some pretty simple ways around that.

I just brought for my 2 year old and I love it it has parent controls on there and you can monitor when your kids can use the tablet. She enjoys watching her favorite rhymes with that.

Of all the tablets and laptops, this Kindle meets my needs better than any other device> I bought it before a trip to Europe so that I could have books on hand without the weight. Well, with Kindle books unlimited I had all the books I could read and I average a book every other day> I had access to my email and Facebook with no difficulty. Absolutely the best device I have ever owned.And it fits so easily into my purse.

For what I use it for, which isn't really that much in a educational setting, it serves its purpose. However, there is some lag time when online, yet for the price, I have no complaints. If you're looking for a basic tablet that doesn't need to have all the bells and whistles for an affordable price, then this is what you're looking for. But if you want something that's more advanced, it's probably not the buy for you.

I've had the previous model 2 years ago and it's a bit the same but can hold a better SD card up to 256gb. I like the color variations that they have offered. No regrets at all.

Purchased for grandkids. Easy to set up. Grandkids love the tablet. No worries they will break them. They can surf kids you tube all they want or play ABC mouse on the tablet.

Great product for a beginner. I bought this product for my mother. At the age of 80 she caught right on and this is all she needed to use facebook and keep up with the family.

I bought these tablets for my children for xmas. They are easy for the kids to use for their games and ebooks. Great inexpensive item for the kids to enjoy their activities.

Not a tablet for productivity or anything major. Just a little tablet for the young kids that don't mind bad performance. It just gets a little laggy if you try to do anything major.

This was the 2nd Amazon tablet I've owned. It is a very reasonably priced, basic tablet. You won't be able to get any apps off of either the Google or Apple Stores, but it does the job. You won't get any high grade pictures out of the cameras, either. My Samsung phone does a much better job. As I say, its a good tablet for the money if you just want the basics.

I am so impressed by this mini tablet. I had another reading device and it wouldn’t hold a charge for more than a few hours. This one stays charged for days!!!! I love it!!

This tablet was an awesome Black Friday purchase. Saved a bunch of money. It's fast and the screen is so clear and bright. Plenty of storage for games and books. I love it.

This is a great little tablet. Its best used for reading books& your basic tablet functions. There are limitations but if uts just basic your looking for this is perfect.

For the price, the Amazon tablet is very decent. Perfect for watching Movies, YouTube, or just browsing Facebook. Great for younger kids as well, for their first tablet.

I bought this on black Friday as an extra purchase. I was surprised at how useful this tablet is for such a low price. Does all the basic stuff that I need. Works great!

I use this tablet to run an app that plays videos continuously which while unplugged the battery lasts for around 8 hours!
