Got it for my grandma and the app that she wanted wasn’t even on the App Store, plus it’s flooded with amazon apps that you can’t remove and annoying ads.

Brought this item for my granddaughter however discovered that it is not very user friendly for kids. She found it difficult to locate links that she used and had to enroll in amazon to access other links.

I mainly purchased 3 of these to gift it to my family members. They mainly looked forward to make video calls with it. However it disappointed us that the tab has problems with audio during video/audio calls

Known problem with volume when using Messenger

I purchased this unit as a gift, with the sole purpose for my 86 year old mother in law to video chat with to her daughter. The volume is too low on both Messenger and Skyp. Best Buy had a 15 day return policy, I hadn't tried to use the tablet until after I gave it to her, so I was past my 15 days. I contacted Amazon and they replaced the unit. Second unit had the same problem. Amazon said I needed to return it to Best Buy for a refund…past my 15 days and now it’s not the unit they sold me. So if you don't need to use video chat this unit may work for you.

    KIndle Fire 7

Amazon Kindle Fire 7 (2017) The Amazon Kindle Fire 7 is such an underrated device. Now, the reason I say this is because of how amazingly easy it has made my life, and how my mom to this day still thanks me for getting her one of her own. Before even purchasing my Amazon Kindle Fire 7 I went back and forth doing my research on other tablet devices their features, and price points. But, when it came down to it I realized I was already subscribed to Amazon Prime. I was familiar with the atmosphere and I love to read so I decided on the Amazon Kindle Fire 7 and I’m really happy I did. Whether it’s from pulling up my favorite book to accessing apps even taking a quick pic this device has it covered. Most of my apps on my phone are accessible on my kindle, if I need to check something on canvas, look up a recipe, or shop on Amazon my Kindle is right there. I know most people rather invest in an Apple Ipad or even in a Samsung Galaxy tablet and that is alright because if you need something for business or a more professional usage the Amazon Kindle is not for you. This device is strictly for personal use but still people do underestimate Amazon Kindle’s quality. I have seen people who have Ipads and Samsung Tablets and must say my Kindle has been more durable for my random clumsy tendencies than any other device I have seen especially at its price point. On the market right now the Amazon Kindle Fire 7 retails for an average of 40-50 dollars. The features include 7 inches of LCD touch screen, 8GB of storage, built in camera and hard plastic housing. The major pros from purchasing Amazon Kindle Fire 7 are obviously an affordable price point. Unlike some devices who average at a whopping $100-330 this device keeps you entertained without making you feel guilty for purchasing it. Another major pro is the ability to read downloaded books without wifi the device saves all your book purchases so you can access them without having to be connected to the internet and lastly a wonderfully long lasting battery life. Some cons surrounding this device is poor resolution when watching videos. Some things may look a little pixilated not horrible but screen quality could be improved. The devices storage is somewhat limited honestly I’ve heard this but have never had a problem myself. And lastly picture quality is pretty bad I haven’t used my camera to its full potential but I will say when taking picture of my dogs it could be better. Overall I will say I enjoy my Amazon Kindle 7 it does what I need it too. I have my whole library at my fingertips and I can access apps easily but I’m mostly happy that I did this all without breaking my bank.

I have experienced some slowness and glitches with Apps unexpectedly freezing or closing. Also, it’s nothing fancy. Overall, it would satisfy someone with basic needs.

Got them mostly to use as remotes for our Roku devices. Honestly just a little slow and the ads drain the battery quickly. Great if you're in the Amazon ecosystem.

You get what you pay for. Love the price, and this was meant for a child but we’re really only able to download and watch shows. Streaming and gameplay lags bad.
