I think $50 is fair for this tablet but paying additional money for a case or stand for it makes it not worth the price in my opinion. This is truly a budget tablet but it feels like to really get the most out of the audio you have to add an accessory to compensate for the poor placement of the speaker (on the back of the device). This is a tablet which is designed for media consumption from Amazon (i.e. Amazon wants you to buy this entry-level tablet to use with your Prime membership, giving you access to music and video). When it is resting on a table (there is no built-in stand), the speaker is on the bottom of the device against the table and it makes it very hard to hear the audio. Maybe the speaker could be placed on the side instead? That being said, the Amazon app store is actually pretty good. Most of the streaming apps I was looking for were there and worked flawlessly once installed. The ads on the lock screen aren't too annoying and it is nice having the SD slot to load videos onto. I actually like how the display is *not* HD (easier on the eyes). I think most people will probably end up getting a case or stand (or use headphones)...if you are in this category, YES I recommend this product to you but otherwise I do not. I brought mine back and bought a Chromebook instead.

Great gift for my daughter on Christmas and didn’t have to spend too much

set it up and immediatley had problems. the app store wont download anything,wont update,and the images in the appstore are pixilated. also magically became the wifi hotspot in my house so now the internet wont work unless i have it turned on.tech support ws no help cause i couldnt understand the foreign dude. other than that even though its not hd the screen clarity is great,battery life is long. also its not as durable as the comercials say it it because i dropped it from like 2 ft and the screen broke. got rid of it and bought a digiland for 50$ that lasted 5 years

I had a little difficulty navigating the device at first because I use Apple products predominately. Once I got the hang of it, I realized it's a great little AFFORDABLE tablet.

This is one of the best tablet out there for the money. Bought 2 of them on sale for $30 each. Was one of the best deal and my daughter and niece love it.

Just purchased 3 of these yesterday at Best Buy. One for myself and two for friends in Haiti. Last night I noticed mine wasn't charging. So I tested the others. One of the other two also doesn't hold a charge. I also noticed that many Samsung features aren't included. Some of the buttons don't even work. Hard to complete updates. AND don't buy as a gift for someone else unless you're certain they have an Amazon account with payment options, or they won't be able to activate it! Returning all three today.

Very rugged, device still performs like new. Battery life is beyond excellent.

It's okay, I mean there is and add every single time I turn it on. I have a couple of games. It get's annoying so I really would not recommend this to a friend.It is okay for me though.

I purchased this tablet for a 7 year old child. They absolutely love it, very easy to use, and light weight.

I bought this tablet for my son. I had previously purchased a RCA Voyager III but had to return it because there was screen burn from the logo after turning it on for the first time. After I returned the Voyager III, I bought the Kindle and I was surprised at how well this tablet functions. I wasn't expecting much for the price range but the Kindle completely exceeds my expectations. Very good brightness and resolution also. Overall the best tablet for it's price.

I would say overall this product is okay . The speakers could be louder . It only has one small speaker on the back, the picture could be a little bit more clearer instead of squinting the apps are geared towards younger children to teenagers . I have yet to find a adult like app . How ever the battery lasts Long time vs most product s I've had

Do not to buy one and waste your money like I did. There's all of these permanent, unremovable, useless apps that take up all of the memory. My fire is now useless to me. I only have a couple of my own apps on it, and have no memory left so I can't even update them. I have no files on it at all, no pictures, documents, etc. It really is all of Amazon's garbage apps taking up all of the space.

Got it on Thanksgiving for 29 USD and it is great deal for that price.

I bought this on sale for $39.99. I already had a Kindle Fire but the new generation supports 256gb sd cards. I will be using this for the gym with music and videos. Can't beat the expansion slot for the price.

Love this! It was a gift for all my books. Love reading from a bigger screen verses my phone.

Looks sharper and less cheap than the 2016 model. Feels better in the hands and looks more expensive. Only thing I hate is the apps look quite generic and the special offers screen.

Would you buy a Wal-Mart tablet? Operating system made by walmart? No, you wouldn't. So why would you buy an Amazon tablet? There are ads on the lock screen. When you go to your apps, it shows three of your apps then rows upon rows of ads. Same goes for books, home, music, games, audible, newsstand, and video. Not to mention shop. The battery life is terrible. You can't install anything made by google (so no chrome or youtube). They force you to use their chrome knockoff, silk. Pros: cheap, comes with f.lux knockoff installed. Please please please don't get it. You're throwing away 50 bucks. Just spend another 50 bucks and get something with Android.
