Initally planned to buy Kindle, but when saw this product ended up buying this. Bought this primarily to read books and it is very good in that regard

I really appreciate receiving my tablet the day after ordering it. This is my second tablet of it's kind. My first tablet fell into the bath tub, and briefly stopped functioning properly, so I panicked and ordered another one right away. My old Amazon Fire 7 dried, and is just like new. Now I have an older and newer version of the same tablet.

It is light weight and cheap. And runs YouTube, that was all I wanted.

Easy functioning for my 4 year old and decent battery life. No glitches.

Good cartridge by HP. Like being able to order online and then pick up at the store. Saves me running to the store only to find they might be out.

Love this little guy for reading books feels less bulky than the ipad

It's a decent tablet, definitely worth the price. It would rate higher with me if it didn't include ads. Not sure if this has been fixed, but at the time I bought it as a gift, the best buy listing did not state it contained Amazon advertisements. I was skeptical at first because compared to Amazon prices, this price for the 7" corresponded to their price for the one with ads. The same tablets without the ads is a bit more expensive so I bought it online and my wife went to pick it up. I told her to ask and make sure it didn't have ads. Of course the best buy rep confirmed it didn't have advertisement so she picked it up for me and I gave it as a gift. After turning on the tablets, the ads were there, always on the lock screen immediately. So aside from that, it's a pretty decent tablet for it price. Side note : There are ways to get google play on it pretty easily on it. Just search for the instructions online and you'll get plenty of results on how to get the google play store on it.

I didn’t understand about the ads when I read about the product. They don’t bother me and I have found some interesting. I like the kindle books.

This cannot compare to an iPad, but if you can overlook that this is a budget tablet it shines in that sphere. This is fun to tinker on and watch YouTube and Netflix on. This would be great for a kid or someone who wants to stick their toe into the tablet world. It's a steal for the price. While not as premium or as powerful as an iPad it does beat it in value.

i purchased two of these tablets for my young children on a Great Black Friday deal. They are good sized and durable for young children. The main issue i have is that Amazon wants you to log in and register any of their products you purchase. In addition to wanting personal information, the also want payment information for purchases. So i set them up and created a profile for them to use. However, Amazon continuously prompts you to purchase a subscription to stream videos and games from them. There are so many games and apps for free, i see no point in giving them anymore of my money on a regular basis.They also always stream ads for apps and services. i bought these for my children to play learning games and watch videos periodically. For the reasons i bought these for, i would not recommend them unless you get them for a crazy good deal as i did.

We got it because kids are rough, and I read that these tablets are sturdy. I had to do a few hacks to get around the Fire OS and install Google Play, etc, I hate the Offers being on the lock screen, so I paid to have them removed...much better than my niece purchasing stuff from the lock screen without permission. I also added an SD card for more space. Great product.

I have a friend who comes over to watch tv several times a week, but he is always asking questions during the shows... so, the Fire tablet is easy enough for him to operate and he can go on the internet to search out his answers. I enjoy using it for reading when I want something light that I can carry around. It won't replace a computer, but it works very well for its intended uses.
