With Nine Children, I have purchased dozens of Kindle tablets. They used to be the best for the price. The newer fire tablets, however, do not last long. The charge ports become loose and the tablets will not charge. A person who is skilled with a soldering iron can properly repair a loose port, but the small connections makes it a difficult task. The last three tablets we purchased worked for about 4 months. I considered having them repaired by a professional, but opted instead to purchase new Samsung Tablets. Only buy these fire tablets if they will be charged only by an adult, never used while charging, and you are ok with replacing them regularly.

Bought this for my daughter for school to read books from Amazon that we checked out (Rented) and this thing will not die. Battery life is great. This unit now is perfect for at home interaction with the internet and carrying out tasks.

She uses just to watch YouTube Kids and play some random games. For the price you can’t find any better and worse case scenario it gets broken it is so cheap to replace. Could pair with a sturdy kids case and never have to worry about it. Battery life is meh.

I bought this tablet at a bargain during Best Buy's November deals and I think it would of been worth it even without the crazy discounts! The kids love it and it's super easy to set up the parental controls. This piece of tech can resist just about anything you throw at it or to. No regrets.

I had a difficult time setting it up. I haven't been able to use it as it hasn't been charged up yet.

We bought this as a gift for someone that doesn't have the best track record with tablets! The purchase was definitely price driven and so far has turned out very well. no issues whatsoever would highly recommend if you're looking for an entry-level tablet at the right price.

Purchased as a "toy" donation for underprivileged teen. It came in a pouch instead of a box which was strange.

You can not go into this expecting to have an iPad quality tablet. It's perfectly fine for the basics. I use it just to read, simple school work with a bluetooth keyboard, and surfing the internet. Yes, it's really slow, but you put up with it for the price.
