Come on-- I bought a brand new Amazon Fire for $39! I can download and read my books. I can browse the internet. I can probably do other things if I ever get around to that! It's not a PC. It's not a gamer machine. But what it is is ridiculously useful for the pittance you pay. If you're actually looking at this review trying to decide whether or not to pay forty bucks for this Kindle you should probably ask yourself-- what do I EXPECT to get for this price? One steak dinner, 3/4 of a tank of gas, a case of brews... or something that's going to last for several years and actually make it easier for you to improve yourself reading! You really ought to buy one for yourself and one for your grandkid like I did. Have I convinced you yet? Or are you expecting Amazon to come to your door and hand you a new Kindle for free?!!!

I bought this for my boy, he is too happy to play games and no issues so far.

These tablets are great starter tablets for kids. They love them.

Have wanted some type of Kindle for quite a while, especially for reading the many free non-fiction history books I've downloaded for my genealological research. Couldn't pass up the sale price on this model and it is everything I hoped for.

Bought it for my mom, she like to play games in her tablet is it is perfect.

The system is a little slow and then if you get the one with the offers, they slow down your reading a bit. But, you can't beat the price. This is not a full tablet. It' an E-Reader with a lot of enhanced functions.

I have to get a case for him but I was able to set this one up for Free Time. I have it set for time frames of the week and weekend he can play. I also was able to make it where he can't play games until he has completed 45 mins of reading.

Good that it has parental control. Good for a simple tablet.

This is a very easy to use tablet. As a beginner, this was my husband's first tablet. He still has a flip phone because he doesn't like technology items. However, he is so happy that he has this and says so often. Works great.

Easy to use. Great price for a starter Tablet! I bought 3, 1 for me & 2 as Christmas Gifts for Family. It feels good with the Spirit of Giving when You know they use them everyday. :)

I really like this tablet because of the awesome resolution.

I needed a tablet to replace one that daughter broke. So I looked around and came across the Kindle Fire. From the start, I wasn't disappointed. It's fast, very responsive and perfect for my needs. This will be my go-to tablet from now on.

Overall good product and got everything I need to stay tune.
