Kindle Fire is a good 1st tablet.

Parents monitor it closely so he is able to have 3 games on it. Very pleased with it. We also got a good case for it which is good protection for it.

Amazon Fire Tablet

Convenient Travel Companion

A beginners tablet

It is good for that. Screen is too small for elderly eyes but it made him feel like he was getting with today's technology . It was very cheap on Black Friday!
