This is my first kindle and I am reading so much more then when I used the kindle app on surface. I can also do other things on this kindle as well. The only thing I haven't got to work was Alexa.

This was a great tablet that played movies perfectly on the plane while traveling. The only issue I had (this is why 4 stars instead of 5) is that the Fire OS wouldn't play movies through the United.com app and Amazon cust service wouldn't help as they said it was a United issue.

Overall this is not a bad tablet. The size is nice, the display is great. The price was a little higher than other comparable tablets. It keeps dropping the wi-fi even when I'm sitting next to the router. When you register your new Kindle, they auto enroll you into Kindle Unlimited. Didn't know I had it, and still don't know what it is. But I found out I'm paying $10.69/month for it. Had to call to cancel it.

The 10 inch tablet is a good sized screen, but the pixel count and quality could be better. Everything looks fine, but some menu items and text appear pixelated. It's not a big deal if you just want a large screen at a good price, but the 8" (which I own) has a better screen quality. Both items have the same resolution display (1280 x 800), but the 10" is stretched a bit and loses a bit of sharpness that you see on the 8".

I love how easy it is to read in any situation. The size is perfect and it is lightweight. It has a lot of features and apps. I should have bought it sooner.

I already had a 7 inch HDX Fire so I got my husband the 10 inch for his birthday. He loves it! Best birthday present in years.

Exactly what I wanted! Met every expectation and more. Would recommend to anyone wanting to kill some time all to themselves. Several options that applies to everyone of all ages. Yes, my guilty pleasure by far! Hope that everyone else feels the same.

Like the bigger screen and more storage. Easier to read my books. Love playing games. And much easier to watch movies on it with the bigger screen.

I only purchased this Kindle because my other Kindle Fire was no longer compatible with games I play (thanks Amazon - I loved my original Kindle Fire). The graphics on this Kindle are very good, but that is about all that is good. The battery does NOT hold a charge. I have to re-charge the Kindle every night. My first Kindle Fire, I could use for a few days before I needed to charge it. One would think with a newer and more advance technology the battery would last longer than a few hours. The other issue....in the middle of a game or reading, etc. it just quits and takes you to the home page. VERY ANNOYING. I regret buying this Kindle. I wished I didn't buy it. Now I'm stuck with a piece of equipment that does not work well at all. I do not recommend this product to anyone. Amazon needs to get things right!

Works great! Easy to use and can do almost everything on it. Very compact and works fast.

Very nice screen and nice features for kids but it was a bit slow and only access to certain apps. We exchanged and got an iPad mini because it was best for us but we did like the product.

I have always wanted reader but the fire 10is so much more than just a reader it allow me to take my books with me were I am able to enjoy them anywhere and it allow to enjoy so much more

I saw good reviews on this product and because of the size I bought this for my boyfriend for Xmas. It was not as good as the last Kindle Fire HD. First of all, there are advertisements on the lock screen and there is no way to turn this off. And then it was very slow to load up an app and to start an app. There are apps you can not get on Amazon either, like Instagram. I feel this tablet if best for avid readers who once in a while like to look at Facebook. This is not for someone who likes to have a tablet for many purposes. The

If you are looking for a tablet device to handle multiple functions such as those commonly used for work, think of another tablet. As an eReader, this tablet is affordable and a great choice. My primary reason for purchasing this device was that it was a Kindle that can access my extensive Amazon library and it had Word Runner which allows me to read books much faster than by looking at a page and moving my eyes. Word Runner is a godsend and has helped to reduce eyestrain and headaches. It is worth it just for that.

Good tablet for the money. If you're an Amazon Prime member and need a tablet cheaper than an ipad, go for it.
