At first I wasn’t worried about it but then some inappropriate content started to be advertised and that sealed the deal and I sold it. Amazon forces you to pay to remove the ads. Overall it’s not a bad tablet just the ads. Nobody wants to pay for a tablet twice.

I'm sorry to hear you're frustrated with the lock screen ads, particularly when inappropriate content appeared that wasn't suitable for kids. I understand your concern about having to pay to remove ads from a device you've already purchased. You can remove lock screen ads by going to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Amazon Offers and turning off Special Offers, or by contacting Amazon to have the ads removed for a fee. Alternatively, you can set up parental controls or create an Amazon Kids profile, which provides an ad-free experience designed specifically for children with age-appropriate content filtering. For the standard Fire HD 10, you can also adjust your advertising preferences in your Amazon account settings to help control the types of ads displayed. I added the tablet case to protect it and have the table top hands free display. I purchased the tablet for my grandson to use while traveling on vacation. In our vehicle to keep him entertained.

I have a hand-made hollow metal TV which is a piece of art. The face cut out fits perfectly with the Kindle Fire and allows me to stream movies, or watch the how-to videos I loaded on the the micro SD and keep my workspace open. I love it.
