Unfortunately, that was not the case. One worker had a little knowledge while the rest were clueless. Next time I'll just go on Amazon.

One thing you can do to ensure that you have the latest update (which may address some of your issues that you are experiencing) is to navigate to Settings>Device Options>System Updates>Check Now. If there are any pending updates that may address any of the bugs you may be noticing, this will begin downloading and installing to your device. Usually these updates are automatic but sometimes, fresh out of the box it can get held up or take a while to update. Amazon App Store Stinks

Could you describe the issue on the tablet? Virus's and Malware come from downloaded apps outside the official store or through malicious ads leading to pop-ups, slowdowns and battery drain.
Sticking to the Amazon app store is recommended for desirable experience.

Amazon is able to offer some device models at a subsidized price by including personalized advertising on the device. You can remove the ads on the device by logging into your Amazon account. 1. Go to Manage Your Devices. 2. Select devices, then select your Kindle e-reader or Fire tablet. 3. Under Special Offers, click Remove offers. A pop-up window will then display the price to remove ads. 4. Select End Offers and Pay the Fee to proceed.
