Confusing to a newbie

Even I had some difficulty guiding him around the devise. Several days ago it stopped connecting to the internet and I had to contact Kindle for assistance. The tech was unable to resolve the issue and we had to reset to factory settings. It is working now but he doesn't trust it to keep working.
