My wife has been trying to get me a tablet for several years and I always said no that I was use to using my small smartphone. She got me an Amazon Fire HD Tablet for Christmas and I love it! It is so easy to use and the screen is 2 to 3 times larger than my cellphone! I should have gotten one earlier!

Easy to used, love the apps.. great color.. and big screen for viewing.

Other than the hdx this is the best one I've used. Fast loading between apps.

I had to replace my 4 year old Kindle that wouldn't recharge, but had been such a reliable tool. Well, that one is history, and the new model has restored my faith. all my programs and games switched over or downloaded overnight, the colors and speed are much improved, and life has returned to normal.

I bought this for reading, but the Kindle Fire HD because it was also a tablet. It’s a great reader, but it’s not going to replace my iPad. First off, it’s slow. Just entering text into the search box causes it to lag. The graphics are also slow to load. It’s not my internet connection, I have gigabyte speeds and ac band WiFi. I haven’t found native word processors or spreadsheets, and the apps available for this are clunky and difficult. (to be fair, even Apples and Microsoft’s don’t work as well on tablets as they should) Then there’s the ads. They are everywhere. I get that this is a very cheap tablet, but really! I hate the ads on this thing. I want to be able to decide what my lock screen looks like, not an ad. The ads make it look like this device is designed to increase the net worth of a multi-billionaire. The Kindle might be okay for kids, but not for adults. By the way, I had to type this review on my iPad. I couldn’t do it on my Kindle.

Maybe i'm not 100% connected to everything but for what I need this is a great tablet. Easy connection to Amazon Prime and their apps plus there's tons of info out there on how to load the Google Play Store app to install those apps that aren't ported to Amazon (no problems running anything yet)

I bough this tablet for my mom and it’s been a perfect match for what I paid. The Amazon Fire tablet it’s an excellent device for simple day to day tasks like watching Netflix or any other streaming service and also some casual basic gaming and e-reading.

It’s not an iPad but it’s great for the price. Pretty snappy.

The only issue with the tablet is the set-up instructions. As with most electronics now days, the manufacturer provides minimal documentation on the operation of the device. There is a lot of trial and error obtaining APPS, accessing the web and placement of APPS for later use. Once you figure things out, the resolution is great, large, easy to read text and graphics.

Great deal when it was on sale at BestBuy. Screen is large yet feels light. The startup ad is no bother. I do wish it didn't use old USB charger. Feels like kids will try to plug it in the wrong way and break it. Honest opinion...the 8 was good enough. 10 is for my aging eyes.

The Amazon - Fire HD 10 - 10.1" - Tablet is a fantastic choice! I love using it for downloading required reading for my job and for storing movies on the Movies Anywhere app. I highly recommend purchasing a 256GB SD-card, a glass screen protector and a case for this tablet.

I've had a Kindle for years; but finally accepted that it's easier for ageing eyes to have things larger. So I got the 10" one. I like it a lot, the only drawback is that since it's bigger it's also heavier. So I got one of those pillow things to prop it up without having to hold it and everything is great

Well I've had my new Kindle Fire for a little over a month now. Overall very happy with it, but there are enough changes with how it works, where things are, how the cover fits on it, that I am struggling a bit and not as happy with ease of use as the old one. I will say it holds a charge better and graphics are improved (and I was happy with the old one)!

My mom had a kindle fire for several years and it kept crashing. So we went to Best Buy and the tablet she wanted was on sale, so she bought one. It is a bit wider than her old one and easier for her to see. She is loving it! So - now she is using BOTH devices until her old one completely dies.

I love to read and can't see as well as I used to. This kindle is perfect to see books, movies and tv shows

I got this for Mother’s Day since I wanted to stream videos while cooking and cleaning. It does the job well and is great for reading ebooks when I’m done feeding my family. It’s a nice size and doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. Much more cost effective than an iPad.

I bought this to put on my treadmill so I can watch Netflix while I run and it has worked flawlessly for that. Holds a charge great, and always boots as expected. I did add a matte screen cover to reduce the glare somewhat from sunlight coming into the room.

I am an Amazon Prime member so I brought his tablet for benefits audible. It is a great app/service if you just like to relate and Listen. I love to read but I get bored very easily and tend to fall to sleep so this actually works for me. The tablet is self is not like any othe listen. I dont like all the extra apps that come on the tablet (wish it was simple) others may enjoy them... I love The fact you can speak to the tablet I think the Alexa app makes it even more amazing. You can basically just talked to the tablet whereever it is and it responds. If you have more than one Alexa device in your home that may become a problem because they sync together. It’s a pretty good size for its price and very loud. You can also connect to any bluetooth speakers you may have or wireless headphones.

I wanted a rather affordable tablet to use while off work for medical reasons and this is perfect. I actually wouldn't have wanted any other tablet this lets me read my books, surf the web, watch movies, and listen to music. Super happy with this purchase and recommend this for anyone.
