It has a great screen and easy to use but the sound volume is poor. i had to buy a remote speaker so i could hear some of the videos. I think i should have got a another brand. It is ok for what i do with it.

Tablet was great for light use. The build quality is great for the price. However, the Mediatek processor got hot rather quickly and then processor slows down as a result. For this reason it's not a great choice for me.

App availability is very limited. Apps that I normally use on other devices aren't available on this tablet. Otherwise, it has some decent features as well. Just not quite what I was hoping for in a new tablet.

While, I like the product, I may not keep it as there is simply too many ads. It is not worth paying extra to remove the ads.

Bought as a gift for my son. It works for him to play games, and watch videos. However, the processor is kinda slow, and the screen is SUPER fragile. Buy a case, and screen protector! Overall great for the price.

Top Tier Tablet at Low Cost

What can I say? This tablet is so great that today, I sold my Galaxy Tab S3 and am just keeping my HD 10. It's that good. Areas where the HD 10 outshines most other tablets (including premium tablets: Like other Amazon tablets, the HD 10 has an SD card for expanded storage, has Alexa tightly integrated into the device, gives a superior experience reading books and magazines, because the device itself will read books OR magazine articles out loud to you (even without an Audible version), the tablet shows you before you ever go into the magazine app whenever your magazine subscriptions have new issues, it is super easy to move apps / content to your SD card (you can do them in bulk instead of one at a time like most other tablets, and for whatever reason, I always like Amazon's own cases for their tablets better than other tablets' 3rd party offerings. Areas where the HD 10 is just as good as premium tablets but at a fraction of the cost: The sound is incredible, the screen is incredible (Before you talk about the 2k screen on higher-end tablets, most content still only goes to 1080p anyway, which means that 1080p is the best you're going to normally, in 80% of the cases, experience with video), websites load as smoothly as on my previous tablets. Areas where the HD 10 aren't quite as good: The main things are it's a bit heavier and plastic instead of metal or glass. Awesome...so glad I bought it!

Not a great tablet for a senior citizen

There were no directions on how to get the tablet setup when a senior citizen was first using technology, who had no email address and no way to sign up for one. We had to put in my husband's email in order to get her started. We wanted to help her with the usage instructions to guide her in learning, but without specific instructions we were barely able to get a game loaded for her to play. I am going to have to look for youtube videos and other input from other people who have used this kind of tablet in order to teach her how to use it. SAD FACE.

Nice tablet but did not research well enough. Does not support flash player and work around did not work. Have to download Google play to get other apps normally installed and widely used.

I love this tablet, it's fast, picture quality is excellent, and love the hands free alexa, just be sure to update your tablet, to the latest update, in order to get this feature working. I was going to save & upgrade my iPad, but so happy i found this, its way better & cheaper. Now when your not around wi-fi, all you have to do is turn on hotspot on your phone & your good to go. Also love the fact you can expand the memory when ever you want, can't do that with an iPad.

Go with the Samsung if want the latest Android OS and access to all the Google Play store. If you want just a browser device then you can save about $100 with the Kindle

Slow to boot up and too many advertisments from Amazon for games. Another thing, you have to go through a process to get to Google and the playstore to get apps.

not a huge fan of the Amazon echo system. Takes time to figure out how to use or download apps outside the "amazon store'. The sound is bad, low volume.

For the money you cannot go wrong... But performance of doing anything other than reading books and enjoying Amazon prime video or Netflix you will want to consider a major upgrade

I really liked the Fire HD10, but it had a pixel problem. I took it back and ended getting the Fire HD8. I like it because it is smaller and fits in my hands better.

Not bad if you're looking for a basic tablet for media consumption. Don't expect it to replace something like an iPad, even one that's 3 years old. It just feels underpowered.
