This Fire HD 10 was purchased as a replacement for a prior Fire HD 10 that had a broken USB charging port. The Fire HD 10 design has the port at an angle so the USB cable does not go in horizontally. This puts strain on the connector causing it to fail less than 8 months after purchase. Luckily, I had a GSP plan and got it replaced. If you buy one, get a GSP.

Got this for my sister who just wanted to replace her aged Kindle.. the new Kindles are too small for her. She will not use it as a general tablet.. We tried to eliminate all the extra software, but it keeps coming back and she is so frustrated that she hates it... I am very sorry I helped her buy this... Please develop a larger Kindle!!!!!!

Speed is slow and resolution is bad. It would be ok for a child to play games on.

I like Samsung better. Amazon makes an alright tablet, I'm used to Samsung

Not worth the money, Rather stick with little expensive tablets.

Yes, I know it’s cheap, but I still decided to return it after one day of using it. Gmail doesnt work properly, youtube looks off like they couldn’t get the permit to have it on the tablet so you can only use the Amazon version of a video platform. Also not user friendly.

It runs on Android, but programmed to serve the Amazon mothership. So you wind up getting tied to Amazon a lot. There are workarounds. But the worst part is that there is a known problem where the tablet shuts down and it becomes a plastic brick. For us that took 18 months.

If you don’t mind a bunch of ads constantly flashing in your face, or paying extra to get rid of the ads; then this tablet is for you. I got it for my boy, and it was terrible. The battery didn’t last very long. It got very hot, and it was hard for him to use. Replaced it with an IPad.

Two years in this thing quit completely overnight.

We bought two of this same item. One stopped working within two weeks, there were lines all across the screen. Took to best buy but since we didn’t purchase the extended warranty and it was 17 days after the purchase date, they couldn’t do anything. The other one seems to be working okay but freezes often.

I have owned 3 Kindle/Amazon tablets. The original one is 4 yrs. old & still works. I took my 1 yr. old one to Geek Squad because it stopped charging after one yr. Thankfully I had a service plan so I was able to choose another tablet & buy a new service plan. I will be going back to Geek Squad soon.

Had to return. I like Amazon but I'll stick to android and Google.

The tablet only lasted about a month before it completely shut down.

on my direct tv app its always skipping. graphics are horrible.

This product is not very user friendly; it freezes up and cannot get out of "safe mode"... Have to make an appointment with Geek Squad... One cannot walk into a store and get immediate help. I got turned away... not good customer service.

This was a terrible purchase I’m not happy with and now stuck with. Got for my son who can’t even download anything bc it picks up viruses quick. Keeps popping up pornography ads and my little son doesn’t even know what that is. Absolutely disgusting
