Was looking for a tablet with a bright screen to watch movies on planes, read comics, etc. I used to have an iPad and just stopped using it one day. I use this tablet all the time, from reading the news in the morning to watching Netflix later in the day. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I did not want to layout $300 - $500 for an Ipad and decided to give the Amazon Fire a try. I am very pleased with this device. While you may not be able to get all of the same apps as your IPhone, most will be available. At $150, it was well worth it.

Also works well with an OTG cable for transferring files or accessing them. Also you can add the Google play store on it through " How To Geek " I definitely recommend this tablet as a replacement or for anyone that doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a fancy one. Good sound, good picture quality.
