Love this tablet. My only complaint is that the screen turns on randomly at times when it should be sleeping. Have messed with the settings and can't seem to figure out the fix. Looking online, it seems like this is a common issue amongst Fire tablets.

We have two 7" Fire tablets at home because they're fantastic to put your own movies on for kids to use in the car. They're cheap and small enough for kids to carry everywhere. I bought one of these really hoping to like it with its 1080p display etc, but I just couldn't get used to the Fire OS. My son doesn't do anything but open the video player app, so I haven't had any experience with using Fire OS until I purchased this (for $100), and it only took about 15 mins for me to get sick of it and return it because of how much Amazon forces content on you. I decided to go with another tablet that wasn't full of ads and "buy this!..buy that!" pictures everywhere.

This was purchased for my mother and she couldn’t master it. We returned and got small easy to use laptop with wireless mouse. She is so happy ! Playing poker and solitaire. At 90 perfect to keep mind active and FaceTime with great Grandchildren!

Price was ok but not a fan of the tablet, shows spam amazon adds right out of the box, constantly says problem with amazon try again later...samsung tablets run mich better

App availability is very limited. Apps that I normally use on other devices aren't available on this tablet. Otherwise, it has some decent features as well. Just not quite what I was hoping for in a new tablet.

What can I say? This tablet is so great that today, I sold my Galaxy Tab S3 and am just keeping my HD 10. It's that good. Areas where the HD 10 outshines most other tablets (including premium tablets: Like other Amazon tablets, the HD 10 has an SD card for expanded storage, has Alexa tightly integrated into the device, gives a superior experience reading books and magazines, because the device itself will read books OR magazine articles out loud to you (even without an Audible version), the tablet shows you before you ever go into the magazine app whenever your magazine subscriptions have new issues, it is super easy to move apps / content to your SD card (you can do them in bulk instead of one at a time like most other tablets, and for whatever reason, I always like Amazon's own cases for their tablets better than other tablets' 3rd party offerings. Areas where the HD 10 is just as good as premium tablets but at a fraction of the cost: The sound is incredible, the screen is incredible (Before you talk about the 2k screen on higher-end tablets, most content still only goes to 1080p anyway, which means that 1080p is the best you're going to normally, in 80% of the cases, experience with video), websites load as smoothly as on my previous tablets. Areas where the HD 10 aren't quite as good: The main things are it's a bit heavier and plastic instead of metal or glass. Awesome...so glad I bought it!

There were no directions on how to get the tablet setup when a senior citizen was first using technology, who had no email address and no way to sign up for one. We had to put in my husband's email in order to get her started. We wanted to help her with the usage instructions to guide her in learning, but without specific instructions we were barely able to get a game loaded for her to play. I am going to have to look for youtube videos and other input from other people who have used this kind of tablet in order to teach her how to use it. SAD FACE.

to be honest not wroth the money at all all these new fires just suck i had the kindle fire HDX and that was an monster after that model all other models are just cheap quality

Go with the Samsung if want the latest Android OS and access to all the Google Play store. If you want just a browser device then you can save about $100 with the Kindle
