My wife used this daily for years. She finally dropped it after 2 years of use. She was very sad and was about to buy it again, even though it was so old. Still recommend it if you can get your hands on a new one at a great price

I purchased Amazon Fire to be used specifically as an e-reader. The Fire is essentially locked into having you purchasing items from Amazon. Mostly I get advertisements, such as equipment, movies, games, etc. and there is no way to not be married to Amazon. As of now the Fire became junk to me and has been shelved.

The tablet runs Amazon operating system which is based on Android. It took some getting used to but it is fast and smooth. You have to go through a backdoor to download from the Google app store because Amazon has it's own app store.

I will preface this by saying I am an Apple iPad Pro user BUT the Kindle Fire 10 does what I need it to do (music, movies, books and games) with a little more freedom than what Apple gives me. The initial setup can be long and annoying though

This product has ads on the lockscreen. They can be full sized video ads that will slow the device down. There is alot of Amazon bloat on this tablet that will slow it down. It works for basic web browsing and apps, and if you can find it on sale it's not a bad value for the price.

Perfect tablet for my 8 year old daughter! She uses Alexa for everything, camera and videos look great and not grainy. Easy to download games and apps she loves, great speakers and lastly, the parental controls are top notch.

The Kindle has a come a long way from just being a black and white e-reader. The latest addition to the Fire series adds a vibrant palate of colors that make the content you're reading or watching pop! Whether you want it to read or surf the internet this tablet has the most bang for it's buck!

Nothing special here. You get what you pay for when you get this level of a tablet. The Samsung's are much better, but they cost a lot more. If you know you are going to break it or leave it somewhere, then get a cheap one unless you have mad Gumby Gold to spend on the expensive stuff.

Given my having to get this because my Samsung Galaxy 6 died I am finding the transition to be a bit challenging. However that may be because I am what we call a "longer living" person and I read how to books like windows 10 for seniors.

Bought on Black Friday at a great price for what it offers. Coupled with the Dock I am using this Kindle for much more than I ever used my old Kindle Fire. Would have liked better sound for music but it is still good for most functions.

It works fine but it’s not as intuitive to use as competing Apple products

I am enjoying my Kindle 10. Having a little trouble setting up email and getting my pictures from my old kindle to the kindle 10. It is a little larger than I would like it to be. All in all, I would purchase it again.

Bought this for my 7 year old grand daughter after her Android tablet died. It took a little doing to transfer all her Android acct info to the Fire Tablet. Once that was done, she loves it.

I have used my ipads for years. Thought I would try something different. I like the fire just not as much as ipad. Main reason is the apps that I used on iPad are not available on fire. Next time I will just save an extra 100 and get a ipad.

The tablet was good, the only thing that I didn't like about it was the fact that you could not manually change date and time it was, It automatically set through your Wi-Fi. You can't get google. It was a little cumbersome being 10.1 for me. Other than that, it was a good tablet.

Great for what we use them for. The connection to the charger can wear and the battery has died on a couple within the year or two so the extra warrenty is good to have. The use off the tablet is great

I wasn't sure about getting a non-android tablet, but with e specs it has and the price they were asking, seemed like a no-brainer. It isn't an android, but it works great and the little ads on the lockscreen are not intrusive at all to me.

Yes this thing is great, add Velcro and stick it to your wall, you have a new way to view. These are better than an iPad and you don’t have to worry if you drop it, they take a beating. For only $100 this baby could be yours!
