Regarding the parental controls, the Fire HD 10 Kids offers a comprehensive set of tools to help you customize your child's experience. The easiest way to manage your child's content and settings is through the Amazon Parent Dashboard at parents.amazon.com, where you can add or remove apps, books, videos, and games from your child's profile, set daily screen time limits, adjust age filters, and even set time limits by content type — all from your phone or computer. On the tablet itself, you can switch to your adult profile, open the Amazon Kids app, tap the gear icon next to your child's profile, and select "Manage Content" to control exactly which apps and content your child can access. You can also set Parental Purchase Approvals so your child can request new content for your review before downloading.
Regarding app limitations, the child profile is designed to provide a curated, age-appropriate experience through Amazon Kids+, which includes thousands of apps, games, books, and videos. If there are specific apps you'd like your child to access that aren't available in the child profile, you can add approved apps from the Amazon Appstore through the Parent Dashboard or the Amazon Kids app on the device.
