Posted .Hi ScottinFOCO, thank you for your feedback on the Fire HD 10 Kids. I do want to share that for a one time fee, there is an option to remove ads and sponsored screensavers from the device. Here are the steps to perform:
Go to Manage Your Devices.
Select Devices, and then select your Kindle e-reader or Fire tablet.
Under Special Offers, click Remove offers. A pop-up window then displays the price to remove ads. Select End Offers and Pay the Fee to proceed. Hopefully this is helpful. A big advertising box for Amazon, I paid hundreds of dollars to let Amazon pump ads at my kid all day. And that's all it does, as far as I can see. Purchase a device that does nothing but require more purchases of content and violates your privacy. Thanks Best Buy, another win for your wonderful team. I am so happy. I'm so happy that I'm not even being sarcastic this time, really. I love this item and am so glad I purchased it.. It was not a complete waste of money and just another scheme by corporate America to steal everything from hardworking poor people that actually need every dollar they have to survive. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

It doesn’t have YouTube kids. It has a knock off Amazon version weird. Just spend the extra hundred dollars and get iPad or Samsung.

We were able to set it up, though during setup the screen showed a glitch ( flashing in and off) and she was able to play a few games before it completely stopped working. Wouldn’t even come on. Very disappointed as when I went to return it they were out of stock and couldn’t offer a replacement.

We chose it because it seemed more kid friendly than an iPad. I’m not sure why but my daughter could not get anything to download and crying. I tried as well and it was a bit difficult even for me
