It was a gift for my granddaughter who I think hasnt put it down since Christmas. There have been no issues with it at all. It is very durable also. Great buy all the way around.

I do wish there was a better app for Gmail, but that’s the nature of an Amazon device. I also wish it had a protective cover on the screen for travel, but it seems pretty sturdy.

Extremely limited usability

You can’t disable Alexa and she constantly stalking and listening to the child interrupting his play/tv. Child ended up breaking the screen out of frustration of use made difficultly dumb. He also has an apple iPad and the ease of use is super and he hasn’t had any problems with it.

Posted .Hi Misty, thank you for providing feedback on the Fire HD 10 Kids Pro tablet. I am sorry to see the experience you have had so far. For expanding storage capacity, you can insert a microSD card for up to 1 TB of additional photos, videos, music, books, apps, and more. In terms of disabling Alexa, secondary profiles, like child profiles, can't access Alexa features on a Fire tablet. You must log in with your main profile to use Alexa features, then going into Settings > Amazon Alexa Status screen, highlighting Disable Alexa, and pressing OK. Hopefully this information is useful. Case is poor design

Case is junk and doesnt provide much protection on drops. Kickstand broke leaving sharp metal and screws sticking out. Could easily cause cuts to child. Upon notifying amazon told it was an accessory not a replaceable item. But the case has to be on tablet to be covered for replacement if it breaks. Have had several amazon kids editions this model case is the worst.

My son will turn it on by 7am and at noon he has to charge it, this usually happens twice a day, yet they advertise a 13 hour life span.BS, This is not my sons first unit, he's had them for years, multiple 7 and 8's so we know what works and what doesn't

Check to see what apps are running on the device and close any that are no longer in use. A few other steps you can try to ensure to extend battery life are: 1. Force close apps running in the background.
2. Dim your screen.
3. Reduce your screen timeout.
4. Confirm that your device is using the latest software version.
5.Use Smart Suspend to disconnect from your network when it's not in use.
6. Lower the volume or use headphones.
