I wanted to try the amazon brand of tablets because amazon gusrntees they will not break and they have a 2 year guarantee. When I purchased them I didn't know that they do not have the capability to have YouTube Kids or YouTube apps on them which is one of my kids favorite apps. The selction of games and applications on the amazon store is a joke comparable to google play store. This tablet severely lacks the speed of our previous tabkets which is super frutradtinf when playing games that lag and movies that freeze constantly. The parent amazon app is not easy to use. I still cannot figure out how ti link their tablets to our alexa devices. We are going back to Samsung tablets.

You can’t remove the app, you can block websites but the app isn’t affected. I wouldn’t mind if it was at least youtube kids, but it’s not. I’m considering returning it for that reason.

There are a few choices available on how you can block YouTube access on your Fire Tablet. First, if the profile that is being used on the device is a Child’s Profile, then you can block access to specific websites and allow/disallow specific apps from being used on your Child’s Profile. You can do this by either accessing the Parent Dashboard website or by accessing the Amazon Kids app on the device itself from an Adult Profile. Another way is to go into your Settings and enable Parental Controls on the device and set a PIN. This can give you an extra layer of security as well. If all else fails, you can always contact Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 for further assistance in accomplishing this or troubleshooting any specific issues you are having. I do hope this helps you and your child further enjoy your device and be content with your purchase. Thank you again for your time and feedback and I hope you have a fantastic day!
