It's a great price for those who only stream, read, web, etc. It's not a high-performance device for pros. I would go for the regular iPad even for those who are not pros. The iPad is smooth and quicker!

Decent Enough

It is also awkward to have a laptop with ads on the lock screen. The only way to not have ads on your lock screen is to pay money, so your options are to pay Amazon or waste data.

I have an 8.9 HD model in I bought EIGHT years ago. I just bought this model yesterday. The old version is significantly better in every way that matters. Higher resolution, much better picture quality, ridiculously better audio, etc. I got this on sale for $110 and have buyers remorse, at $170 it's an absolute rip off.

High Quality, Great Price on Fire HD 10 Plus

The Fire HD is significantly less expensive than the Android. I use it primarily for reading news and email. When traveling infrequently, I'll use it for watching video. It's perfect for how I use it, but it doesn't allow me to use all the apps (for example, banking and financial) I used with the Android. I think picture, video and sound quality are great, very comparable to my old Android. Wireless charging works great with a leather cover. I have the 32 GB version. If you plan to download several miniseries, I recommend getting the 64 GB version.
