I have a large tablet and an old kindle fire both of which I love, however, they are heavier and bulkier in my purse. I saw the 6 inch kindle fire hd and thought "how convenient." And that it is. I love that I can throw it in my purse for doctor appointments, long lines, any where I have to wait. It entertains my 85 year old mother when she is too tired to keep shopping or my grandchildren waiting in restaurants. The kindle 6 inch is clear, bright, easy reading, easy to use and navigate. But so are my other tablets. What I love is that this is small enough to take anywhere, but will do almost anything my larger tablets do. I never go anywhere without it.

I have a kindle fire 7" and i wanted one for my nephew because he needs for the school, so he can read, watch videos, open files, etc. He loves the size is perfect to him for carry on.

Size is great. Fits very comfortably in the palm of my hand (I'm an average sized guy). Screen is clear and sharp which makes up for the slightly smaller type than on the 7". My only complaint is I have a couple of digital magazine subscriptions from another provider which I can't port to the Kindle. So much for the competition huh Amazon. All in all a terrific product though.

This device is fine for the reason I purchased it, to read. However, using this device for surfing the web, emails, or other purposes...I prefer using my iPad or IPod Touch due to speed & quality. I am beginning to believe that Apple products are superior for online activity than its competitors.

Tablet is nice. Good price. Would rather my iPad though.

The kindle hd6 is a excellent tablet. It is very easy to use and has many useful features. Highly recommend this kindle and the price is very reasonable.

Fire is a very price efficient tablet. Sure, it could be faster and have more functions, but for some basic apps and some general browsing, it does a good job.

I went with the 6" as I wanted a reader that would fit comfortably inside a jacket pocket. Portability was my biggest concern. It's speedy enough, and the screen is gorgeous. Battery life is great. But... The sound is, ehhhh, tolerable (on par with most smart phones), the camera is low resolution, but I only use the front facing camera for skype. For pictures elsewhere I use my cell - phone camera. I'm not a fan of the Amazon app store. All that aside, I absolutely love this little guy. I mainly use it for reading and skyping. It's good enough at those tasks to be worth the $130 price tag. All the other uses for it are icing on the cake. Well worth the money. Probably my favorite electronics purchase of the year.

Enjoying my Fire HD 6 after one month! Wish Amazon Prime had more download options, but very happy with this tablet. Perfect size to watch movies on airplane on small tray table with drink on same tray.
