This tablet replaced the 1st gen Kindle Fire my kids were using. I love the smaller size - easily transported in my purse. I loved my old Kindle Fire & this newest release is reliable tablet at a very low price-point.

Fits my needs and priced below my budgeted amount.

This device would have gotten 5 stars, but for some reason you can't install Minion Rush on the device. Buyer be warned if you are buying a portable device to play the addictive Minion Rush game you will be disappointed. Otherwise it's like a regular kindle fire, only smaller.

It has performed better than expected.....................we will see about longevity.

I like it the best of all my kindles. It's not to big. Not to small. Fast. I would have given 5 stars except when it says about the book, it's not really, it's about the author. I would like to see a book synopsis in "about the book" Absolutely recommend strongly.

I use this Kindle HD almost primarily for reading. It would be perfect if I were also using it as a tablet. I would recommend this product if you intend to do that but if you only plan on using it as an E-Reader then go with the paper white and avoid the glare.

I purchased this after owning a Toshiba Thrive and Apple iPad and am really happy with the decision. I use a tablet for email, surfing the internet, reading books and for two dozen or so apps. I realized that I don't need to spend a ton of money to meet my needs. The Amazon Fire HD 6 easily takes care of me. Pros - crisp clear screen, easy to use, size, price, meets all basic needs. Cons - a little heavy for something this small, app store isn't as complete as Apple or Google Play, limited customization. If you just need the basics this is easily the tablet for you. You can't beat it for the price. I was a little worried about the ads but they are unobtrusive. I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money to be ad free. I would recommend checking the Amazon app store for your favorite apps before buying. I had two apps I frequently used that I learned aren't available for the Fire HD 6 after I already made the purchase. It's not the end of the world but I was disappointed. Both apps are available on Apple and Google Play and I'm not sure why I can't get them through Amazon. Overall I would say Amazon did a good job on this design. I have no problem recommending this product.

I am enjoying my Kindle. It is easy to use and I have had no problems.

I enjoy the convenience and ease of use. The size is perfect and this device is a great companion to Amazon Prime. I use this product more than any other electronic device that I own. I would definitely recommend a Kindle to anyone purchasing a multi function reader.

He loves it, he uses it for his gaming books, and to read on.

For the price I paid for the Amazon Fire 6HD is unbeatable in the tablet market. Well done Amazon on the quality product and Best Buy having the tablet in stock.

Got this for my mother. Simple enough for her to use. The display is very nice, the other complaint I have from her is regarding the battery life. She says it seems to die very quickly. How is every one else's battery life on the Fire 6.0? I'm not sure if is the device, or her, but all in all seems like she likes it so far.

Always loved my kindle fire I had the 1st generation. Decide to get the new one which is great... Smaller.. Clear HD! Great buy at a great price!!

Amazon fire hd 6'' had many good features and I bought these for my kids, so they're actually really good for them. However, I did wish I had more options with settings and wish it had Google play bc amazon store is just okay. All in all, my kids are extremely happy with them and that's all that really matters.

My Girlfriend wanted as a gift and got it for her. She loves it and she's a bookworm at heart. Unfortunately the cases sold for it at the store are very limited and poor quality. Overall the device is amazing and great.

Ordered for elderly parents 1100 miles away which required me to trust in store pick up in their area to go smoothly. Order a certain color, got black, contacted c/service and got told I'd have to deal with the local store. Too much hassle to go through all. Just not what I expected.

I'm so glad I finally bought a Kindle. This has upped my reading abilities. I can now read at night without disturbing others. My grandson loves the games.
