Decent enough for a tween on the go... she doesn't use it much since she has an iPod and Surface. But she chose to save birthday/Christmas $ for a Fire. This would be a great purchase if you don't want to spend the money on a Surface... but silly if you do have one. It's like an iPad with a better screen.

This is a great device is excellent to share in a family using the Amazon Prime Family. You can share books. You can also have Free time that allows kids to have access to those items that are appropriate for them. Only disadvantages is that there is no access to the Google Play store, which limits you from some applications that are not available on the Amazon App Store.

I bought this for my son and he loves it. Better than those kid tablets.

Kindle fire hd is very different than the original kindle fire. I'm loving my new one so far. It's taken me a little to get used to some of the new features. I love that it connects to goodreads & lets you leave a review of the book right away instead of going to the website. I bought the 6. It's small but easy to hold.

It was great value for the performance. Recipient says she loves it.

Great Tablet, it was a gift for a friends son, it's very portable for when the mother has to carry it, she said it was very easy to set up, has great resolution and amazon has many kids apps that are available. They both love it and I'm happy that I found such a great gift.

I use it to read, listen to music and personal apps. Easy to carry.

Got it for $120. Was a deal. Works well. Does what I need it to do.

Upgraded from 1st generation kindle fire. I must say I luv my new kindle fire hd 6 it small and easy to carry. I never leave it at home it always with me. It awesome!!!!

My daughter loves her kindle.... She takes pictures on it, makes videos which you can hear and see very well... It was her birthday gift and overall she loves it!!!

I bought 3 Amazon Fire devices at the same time, all of which were bought as gifts for my grandsons. The older two thoroughly enjoyed them since they were already familiar with the advantages of technology. They are very durable and are still being used today. They were a good buy and clearly an investment not only in technology, but in the kids. There are so many things that this little device can do, including reading, viewing tv, movies, and playing games. They have really gotten quite a bit of pleasure from them.

I was immediately taken aback by how heavy this tiny machine is! Then I was disappointed that a lot of the apps I want (Instagram!) are not compatible. Having an ad pop up every time you turn it on is really annoying.

Great device! Nice upgrade from my Kindle Fire. Sleek design. Be sure to get a case! Screen does NOT tolerate the smallest drop! Found out the hard way! But love the parental & time out settings and options it has to offer!

My new Kindle Fire HD is amazing! The images are super sharp and the operating system is really fast as well. I've downloaded a bunch of books already and there still a lot of room left. I got the 16 GB. I can't wait to take it on my next vacation!

I love my Kindle. I originally purchased my kindle so I could listen to audiobooks while driving. Because it fits so nicely in my purse, I never find myself stuck somewhere wishing I had a good book. Think Dr's office, airport , lunch break, etc.

Got my daughter this tablet for Xmas and she loves it. She enjoys using it as an e-reader and playing games on it. Just wish I would of got a 7 inch instead. Standard size cases for tablets is 7 inches an easy to find just about any where. I didn't realize the 6 inch cases would be so hard to find when I purchased the tablet.

My daughter is 10 and she loves it!! Perfect gift for a 10 year old. I can see every download she does on the tablet by just having it attached to my personal phone and Amazon account.
