I bought this for my older son for a gift and he enjoys it for playing games and watching streaming video on it. The Amazon version of Android can be limiting and the ads are mildly annoying, but it's still a great value, especially for someone not needing it for professional use.

Love it! Would highly recommend. I really like the smaller size.

Bought two, one each for my twins. They both have enjoyed them.

It took me almost twenty minutes to type in my c/c info and to enter my wifi password. It would add random letters or numbers.After that though it's a great little reader.

It is small and it's fast. fits in my purse or my pocket. It's not bulky and I ordered a couple as presents for my family for Christmas. The ads don't bother me. I can't even tell they are there.

Size makes it convenient to tote around and have handy. HD is sharp and clear and operation is smooth and responsive. It does what you need it to do at a reasonable price!

Bought this for my parents for Christmas. The smaller design compared to older models is nice for them because it allows them to hold it more easily in one hand and it is more lightweight. The new OS is somewhat different from that used in previous models, but remains user-friendly and functional overall. I always tend to forget that the storage given can vary greatly than what is advertised on the box. Our 8GB Kindle only ended up being around 5GB, but my parents won't be storing much so this size works for us. Regardless, plan accordingly!

Tablet is like a dependable babysitter.My 11yr old gets lost in the games and e-books.I have hours a time to my self as he is gone to "kindle land".This is the third tablet as the screens keep shattering. Hope that technology gets more child resistant in the near future.Other wise reliable as i am.

Its a good tab if u only want to deal with amazon apps. the videos show real good but i'm disappointed that you cant download android apps

I give tablets to kids. (Also bicycles.) I want to encourage them to explore the margins, the places that beckon but aren't required. The Fire HD 6 is great for my purposes: just $99 and an easy fit in kids' hands. But when I first went to Bestbuy to buy one, there were none. Amazon was sold out for two weeks or something. But the website that evening said some had just arrived at my local Bb. So I hurried. They were there, but not out yet. Happy ending: a nice young geek found me one very quickly. I'll buy one every month.

bought as a christmas gift for my grand daughter. she is only 8 but already has collage level reading skills. she loves it and I think she will be able to use this on into high school

The Amazon Fire HD is a good compact gadget that has a lot of desirable features. I use it primarily for reading e-books. I have a tablet I use for everything else. Amazon has a wealth of books available and sometimes has low cost books and fee monthly deals.

Have enjoyed my purchase. The only problem I had was my package was opened and taped closed. There seemed to be everything there but the fact my box was opened didn't make me feel good about the ay the package was handled.

I like the new features and ease of use. The screen is very responsive, though the power button needs a few tries to power up. The keyboard onscreen is so small that it is a little difficult to use. I understand why some people need an attached keyboard.

If ever I have a problem with anything from BB all I have to do is call them and the service is taken care of right away, if I have to buy anything from BB the staff are great, I always buy something even if I'm not shopping for myself, thanks BB for having almost everything I need.

I thought about buying the kid version of the Kindle, when I realized kids are much more advanced than we were at their age. I purchased 2 of these one for each of my children. They absolutely love them. Just wish they had the same games as Google Play and the Appstore. Oh well the kids are still having a good time.
