Marketplace is sub-par
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Kindle marketplace is not on par with the Google Play store. This means you'll have less apps. In addition, Google Play's store has had multiple apps for free or much cheaper than their Kindle store counterparts. I've had some freezing and slowness while running educational apps for my daughter. This speaks to me about the quality of the apps. As for the device itself, it's fairly sturdy and hefty. Adding a protective case adds to the bulk and weight. It's nice that one can have multiple profiles for different users, but the operating system is definitely more convoluted than ios. Setting it up/Using it requires patience.

And downloading from Amazon is so easy a child can load books onto their device. I love electronic reading, and ease of operation.
