This was a birthday gift for my Dad to replace his old Kindle. This is much easier for him to work with.

I love my Fire. It holds my books, opens documents with the easy to use apps, and let's me watch tv too.

I haven't seen her without it since I bought it. Compatible with our PC. Fast and battery life is great!

Love my new phone & Best Buy is just great! Got the phone & case, transfered my info, connected & ready to go before I left the store - all on my lunch hour. Back at my desk in an hour - location not far from my office. But still fast! The Samsung S6 is light years ahead of my older Samsung 4g. Went up a notch to a little more $ phone but only b/c the Best Buy guy explained the diffs to me. Easy decision & glad I made it. Thanks Andrew!

I bought this kindle for my 7 year old. He loves games so it was not a good choice for him. He ran out of storage space within 2 days and I ended up trading him with my kindle. I do like where the power button and volume buttons are located, they are easy to access. There is a headphone jack which is another plus. The camera also faces out making picture taking and video recording easy. Overall this is a very nice kindle and works great for what I do, just not much space for a 7 year old that can't make up his mind which game he wants to play and who loves to record videos.

I was very happy with the Fire HD that I bought. Some other friends I know have bought cheap tablets. They have been very disappointed with the lack of apps, performance, and capabilities. The Fire HD blows them away. It is great for reading and takes good videos. I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought 2 of these on sale for family members and they tell me 3 months later they still love them....

My husband uses his tablet for everything-it practically replaced the home computer.

Purchased as a holiday gift for my father. He had used an iPod Touch previously (and heavily), but had zero experience with Android. As the newspapers in his area close down or move to an online-only model, though, he began looking for an alternative. The Kindle Fire seems to be fitting the bill well for him so far. There definitely is a learning curve, and I'd say that the experience is nowhere near as polished as Google's stock Android on my Nexus 7, but especially for the money, this tablet rocks. He can browse the internet just fine and read his newspapers again!

I purchased the Kindle Fire HD for my wife, Linda. Neither of us has a smart phone or similar device, so we are not familiar with touch screen technology. Both of us use and are reasonably familiar with HP computers. Programs and computers are becoming less and less intuitive for the uninitiated, older (in our 60s) user. Purchased a book referred to as the handbook that should have come with the Fire. Helpful. Having instructions available on-line is only a solution if you are already reasonably knowledgeable about the system. Still like it and keep on plugging.
