I do a lot of reading for school this tablet is the perfect size for daily use. Great buy for the price. I needed something larger than my phone but smaller than a laptop. Absolutely satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this for my mother n law because she’s always on FB yapping away. I thought this would be a good Christmas present. It was but now she doesn’t even get out of bed to get on the computer. We had to bring her a bed pan.

I love the fire because you can use it as an e reader or a tablet. I like that there is a backlight and I can read in the dark. If you use the internet features, it will drain your battery. But it lasts a long time if you're just using it as an e reader.

The Fire HD is a sweet unit that does everything I ask of it - and more. The picture quality is outstanding and the action on the texting board is very good. I also bought the matching case and I'm very pleased with the way it can be stood up in both landscape and portrait modes.

So far, it’s great. Just what I need right now and suits me well. I still have to figure out a few things. Battery life is long lasting which is important. Since I travel and need it to last. I’m an Apple user so I have to get used to this tablet.

Very pleased with purchase. This device is everything as advertised, and simple to use, even for the inexperienced person. Happy to recommend this Amazon tablet, capabilities are easy to access. Have had two other tablets, this new equipment will take care of my needs for a long time.

Needed a low cost tablet for the house for visitors to use with my home automation system. This tablet has a decent screen resolution for the size and is light. My visitors have all enjoyed using this tablet with my system and are not worried about kids breaking it because it has a low price point.

The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star is I don’t like the one click purchase button to purchase books. However Amazon helped me fix that slightly. The reason I say slightly is it doesn’t work in the amazon store but only in the amazon kindle app. I like the size of the tablet for reading. Everything else is working nicely. Would highly recommend

Best tablet for price. This one I purchased is replace an older model of the Fire HD 8 tablet I purchased for my grandson two years ago. The first one I purchased was used every day and help up to the rigor of a two year old .

My Samsung Tab 4 quit working so I had to have a new tablet. I read every night on my tablet and play games. I also search the Internet for "stuff". When my old tablet died, I needed a new one. I didn't really want a Kindle Fire, but it was in the right price range for what I wanted. The set-up was difficult though. I have an android phone and like the Google apps. Finding the right downloads to put Google on the Amazon Fire tablet was horrible. It took me 3 days to finally figure it out. Once I did get it downloaded, it's great. The tablet does have pop up ads every time I turn it on though. I'm not sure if I can get rid of that function or not. It also has a pop up about using an SD card, which I have inserted already, but it pops up every time it's turned on. As with any tablet, the more apps you have on, the slower it loads. But this one isn't too bad.

Doesn't have an amazing screen because it got cracks easily, which forced me to consider a $30 cover quickly. 32GB is also not that great if you plan on using books with lots of images or already have lots of books in your account but since you can use any MicroSD card, that helps.

Just getting to check it out. So far so good. Bought the case for the tablet and the charger. "V" shaped and no plugging in just rest tablet on the charger. Small enough to fit in my purse. All my games are transferred from my previous tablet. So glad I bought it for my self.

I love this tablet! It is simple, easy to use and gets the job done. I only need it for surfing the internet, my bible and a few other apps that I use on a daily basis. I love it! It was cheap and well worth it! I've already gotten my money's worth :-)

I got this tablet for my daughter because she’s always wanting my phone and she’s way to young for a cellphone . This was a great purchase, I got it on sale at the time it was the best decision I ever made . I would definitely recommend. Especially because there is a child feature on it and I can monitor what she is able to do and see

Large, crisp screen with well-defined colors, great for reading books, magazines, manga and comics. Videos also look very good. The tablet was better when I installed the Google store. This opened up the possibilities to install any Android app, not just those from the Amazon store.
