this is my first tablet. I am finding it hard to obtain apps that are not in the Amazon system like my church. I am finding issues with this tablet as I go along. The trash can does not come up when I get into my email and the links outside of my email don't always work. I need to be able to get apps like GPS that are not in the Amazon systems. This tablet is clunky. I should have gone with a no-name brand tablet. However, it is easy to use.

The Fire 8 is a good size and was a good value on sale. It is too busy for me but I am older. I see it as a recreational tablet with good sound for music but it is too proprietary and not as secure for ease of use with google search or google maps. I also found the screen too small for lengthy use on old eyes so I bought a second 10" plain and simple tab for other uses.

My goal was to be able to use the Amazon-Fire HD 8 Tablet for listening to audiobooks. I like to do that especially when I am sewing (which is most of the time). It much easier to just listen without looking up with a visual DVD, and breaking concentration. This is working out wonderfully. I've already gotten through about 10 audio books. Using the Overdrive program in connection with my local library is great on the Tablet.

I love this tablet. It is very simple to use. I never thought that I would buy a such device with this price.

The kindle is nothing but a way for Amazon to get you to buy from them. I couldn't download any Google play apps which kept me from many apps I use daily for meditation and organization. It is geared completely to Amazon and even prevented me from purchasing movies and programs from other devices like Vudu and Netflix in order to buy from Amszon. The constant ads and product placement hindered my ability to use it productively. Do not recommend unless you merely want to buy.

I purchased this tablet to replace a larger one , that stopped working. Didn't know anything about Fire tablets, but took a chance, since the price was right. Depending on what you use one for, I suppose it's a great tablet. There are lots of things on there, that I might not ever use, books,movies, TV, etc.,but it serves it's purpose for me. I mainly just search the web and utilize my email. Not really slow, but slower than I expected. Overall, i guess it's a descent tablet to have.

Performs as advertised. My battery life is much better than I expected. It also works well with my alexa app.

It was a gift for my grandson. He loves it. He doesn't want to put it down. He is 6 years old and navigates on it very easily. This was a great buy.
