If you have an older Kindle, and don't want to spring for the price of an Oasis, then this one is definitely worth the upgrade. For the Quality of the device, it is almost being given away!

Works very well with my ring doorbell automatically shows person at front door. Integrates extremely well with all fire/ Alexa products. sound quality and video image are good.

Amazon bespeaks quality, and this HD8 is no exception! I simply do not, however, like the coloration of this particular unit (i.e the "twilight blue"). But thats just a preference of my own...

Decent tablet, but lots left to improve. I also could not use the same micro sd card that came from my last Amazon Fire tablet unless I formatted it, wiping all information.

Got it on sale for 1/2 price. For the money you can't beat it. After I got the first one and used it fora day I went back and got another one.

It works very good on what I use it for, however the brightness dims while I use it. Also the charger is different from my older one so I need both chargers.

Great Device, works great for my kid and he can play Pokemon Go with a few tweaks. Not a fan of the advertisements, but since this is so affordable, it's acceptable. I recommend getting a case.

Bought this for our grandpa. He uses it to listen to the radio through apps and uses the bible app to listen to the bible. He hasn't put it under too much stress. Lol

A decent tablet when purchased deeply discounted, otherwise, I would recommend passing on it. Screen resolution is not great and battery drains quickly when in use.

I bought this tablet to use as an echo considering the price difference. I still like that decision I made because I can take it off the stand and go somewhere if I need to. The "Show Mode" is pretty cool!

Husband loves it. Got it for him for the holidays to watch things so he isn’t squinting at his phone. The only thing he complains about is adds on the Lock Screen.

Pretty good but. I got the 3gb ram version. It’s ok, if you really want performance, get a Samsung or another android tablet. To actually make it useful, you will need to install the Google Play Store.

Been using the the Amazon Fire tablet for years upgarding to a 8in for the size and and weight and apps work good and takes pictures and record so thats a plus too

I was a bit disappointed that not all my icons were transferred to the new Kindle from the old one. Otherwise this one performs well and colors are beautiful. Super-sensitive to touch, especially if there is a lot of static in the air.

Bought it for my husband to be. Once he got the hang of a computer, he loves it! He watches Netflix and plays slot machine games. Plus he can take it anywhere with him.

So far I like the Kindle Fire 8. It's not as fast as an Ipad, but for the price I paid for this tablet has made it a keeper. I mainly use it for reading textbooks, because I want to see the graphics in color.

I have a fire 7 and after several years it was slowing down! Decided to get a newer one and this was the same price as the 7 was when I bought it! I use it to watch movies and read so it is perfect for that!

The charger when plug into the tablet is tight. It is always difficult to unplug it. I don't know if that is the case for every tablet or that is the case for just my tablet.

Great product. It does everything I need it to do. In addition to being to read books, it is basically a computer. Perfect for travel as compact.
