Solid and Cheap!

Especially for the cost!

Good replacement for an old HDX7

This replaced my old HDX7 that didn't run newer apps. Primarily used for smart home apps, but a few of those older apps aren't available on the HD8. Works well and user interface is smooth and effortless. The larger screen is not as easy to use one handed as I did with the HDX7. My initial concern with the lower screen resolution isn't as noticeable as I thought.
